Had trouble with a dealer trade in from kansas. 150 HP Mercury outboard throttle would stick open when attempting to slow down upon returning to dock. Had to kill the engine by turning off key. Other times very hard to start. Just visiting in Guttenberg after folks back home reassured me the problem was intermittent and had solved itself. Problem reoccurred. Jack and Linda were weeks behind as is usual in August on the Mississippi. Their partner was trouble shooting another boat nearby and came to help. After a few steps he removed the carburetor cover over the intakes and found why the intermittent
