The history of Julie's Park Cafe & Motel began in 1997 when Julie Giller purchased the upscale Black Locust Restaurant and converted it into the old-fashioned, family-friendly breakfast and lunch restaurant we know today as Julie's Park Cafe. Julie also remodeled the adjacent motel, then known as the Peninsula Motel, adding a new freshness to an old Door County establishment.
We offer modern amenities with a classic Door County personal touch. Enjoy traditional American fare at Julie's Park Cafe and put your feet up in one of our cozy motel rooms. Consider Julie's your home base for your Door County adventure. Our new motel was envisioned as a modern update to the old Julie's motel, expanded and updated but retaining a charming American motel feel.
With clean, updated units that offer modern comforts with a woodsy feel, Countryside Cottages is a unique Door County resort that will earn its place in your family's memories. Imagine warm summer nights, roasting marshmallows over a roaring fire under a sky full of stars. Imagine family games in the gazebo, or afternoon naps in a hammock.

Our secluded location, right in Fish Creek and just next door to Peninsula State Park, puts you in the center of everything Door County has to offer. The 2 level A building offers 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms with a whirlpool tub in the full bath.

Totally fine place to stay in Door County. It's not a place I would rave about but I also wouldn't rule out staying there again.
Pros:
- The room was super clean
- Nice, new-ish furniture and fixtures
- Wifi and cable worked great
- It's a really pleasant walk to the shops and restaurants
- Easy checkout on a tablet in your room
Cons:
- The layout of the rooms has them all facing a very small courtyard. With the motel being dog-friendly, this pretty much guarantees that another guest will be standing a few feet outside your window at all times and your "view" is a dog taking a dump.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟All the servers were in costume today for Halloween. It was lovely. My server was in a flannel nightgown and plastic shower cap and told me to call her “Granny” if I needed anything, 😂😂😂 The service was… excellent and the food delicious. I had the made from scratch hot chocolate, 2 egg spinach scramble and an order of Door County cherry crepes. Yummy! What a great place to eat.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Love love love this place! Everyone was so friendly, literally everyone. We had a great time and the food was so good that we went 3 days in a row! It was super convenient. We never had to wait and I was just… blown away at how good their gluten free pancakes were. My hubby had the regular pecan French toast one day and the regular French toast the other. My son was pumped about his pancakes with sprinkles. It’s in a perfect location and one day rode my bike there from the campground. They gave my kiddo some crayons and a coloring sheet and even some surprises. He’s already asking
