Ronald D. Schowengerdt, DDS offers a full array of dental services to help you maintain healthy teeth. Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
We will also take x-rays, which includes the panoramic x-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth.Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain or plastic cemented over the front of your teeth to change their color or shape.

Our goal is to provide you with an anxiety-free experience in our office where you can get the treatment you need without the worry or fear of pain. That's why we offer "Conscious Sedation Dentistry" in our office. Conscious sedation involves using pharmacological agents and/or relaxation techniques to relax and calm a nervous patient prior to their dental treatment.
For many years, silver type fillings, or what is called silver amalgam fillings, was used to fill teeth that had decay or had slightly cracked. Even though this material did the job, the silver color was unsightly in the mouth. Some people were even afraid or embarrassed to smile as a result. A really beautiful looking solution has evolved that give the teeth a more natural look called "Composite Tooth Colored Fillings."
To help protect your teeth, we offer MI Paste. This professional dental product uses recaldent, an ingredient derived from milk protein, to help repair mineral imbalances on your teeth, improve the flow of your saliva and fluoride uptake, and soothe sensitive surfaces. MI Paste and MI Paste Plus relieve sensitivity by protecting dental nerve endings by forming a buffer against plaque.
