I've never been to a machine shop and have never needed machining done so I have no clue about the process. I have an engine that needs to be machined so I asked the man what the process would be. He only told me that he can do whatever I want. Well how the hell do I know what it needs? I just asked him the process and informed him I've never done this before. Then I asked for a range and price point of certain process. He told me I was talking to the wrong person and wanted me to haul the engine and all the parts so they can tell me the price. There's no way there isn't a set price for honing
