Douglass Door Service

I didn't actually use Douglass doors, but when I had my tenant reach out to him to fix the garage door, he was very helpful. He had my tenant send pictures and he diagnosed the issue, broken springs. Unfortunately, he does not service the area my rental is in. I was very appreciative that he took the time to help troubleshoot even though he wasn't taking the job. Much appreciated.

Garage door springs finally gave out after 20 years. Found Robert on Yelp and messaged him. He got back to me right away and scheduled an appointment. He did a great job with our door, works perfectly now and is much smoother and quieter. Great service!

I called to get my garage door opener re-mounted (another company did a terrible job) and Robert went above and beyond to fix the issue along with other issues he found with the previous installation. He is a real pro, and I should've gone to him initially. I really appreciate his work!

The tension spring on my garage door broke so I called a garage door service company (un-named) for a quote. They gave me an estimated number for the spring and labor. When the repairman arrived, he gave me a vastly different quote and a said my spring didn't meet a State of Calif. Code, so the price was a lot higher than first quoted. Well, there is no such code and I send him away. I found out later, he didn't even work for the company I called, they just farm out the work.

I called Robert in the morning because my opener had stopped lifting my door. Robert answered the phone and was very courteous. He asked me a few trouble shooting questions and determined he needed to respond. He arrived at my home on-time, as scheduled. He diagnosed my problem and provided a fair quote. I authorized the work and Robert completed the repairs. Everything is working great now and I would definitely use Douglas Door Service again.

I called him today (Friday lunch). Telephone reception was bad both sides. I texted him. He called me back after his previous job saying that he's close by and if he should check my garage door. I was asking him about the cost. He said estimate is free. He came on time (even few minutes before!!!! Whaaat? Never had that before, great service still exists!). All in all he told us what the problems were, even gave us some good advice how to fix things ourselves or how to maintenance

I had a broken spring and the second one was about to snap too. Robert came out asap and replaced both springs,realigned the door, adjusted things, and got it running smoothly in no time. Highly recommend.

Robert was very courteous as he was very concerned with being on-time (which is important to someone on a tight schedule). When he examined the door, he was careful to explain everything he planned on repairing. He even replaced the broken spring with a stronger one that will last longer. He worked quickly and efficiently. So far the door works perfectly and I am very happy with it.

Not only did Robert immediately diagnose my problem, he found future potential issues and took the time to educate me how to care for my garage door to avoid even worse problems ahead. Friendly, Fast, and Fair priced - I have had a noisy door that chattered since new and no one could adjust it to work smooth and quietly. My garage door totally collapsed, came out of the tracks, and the spring snapped. Rob came out and assesed the problem and went way above and beyond to spend the time necessary to secure my door with no promise from me to use them for the actual repair. After contacting 2 other companies to compare pricing Douglass was right there. You would think it was a whole new door, it works smooth and quiet and with my crazy schedule the work was completed at my convenience

Rob did an excellent job putting in our 16 or 17' garage door. He was quick, did what he said he would do and charged what he said he would charge. We were 100% satisfied with his work. Thank you Rob....My friends wife said you should have charged double for entertaining our guys all day :-))
