A small video camera and surgical instruments are inserted through multiple (5-6) incisions in the abdomen that are typically 2-3 cms long. The surgeon views the procedure on a video monitor. This approach is considered less invasive than open surgery, resulting in shorter hospital stays and fewer wound complications, such as infection, scarring or hernia.
Gastric sleeve revision surgery is an option in select patients who qualify. Commitment to healthy behavioral changes, dietary choices and lifestyle changes will continue to be a requirement for a successful outcome. Your best choice of procedure will be decided after initial evaluation that includes consultation and certain diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy and upper GI X ray.
The Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass - often called gastric bypass - is considered the 'gold standard' of weight loss surgery. A small stomach pouch is created by dividing the top of the stomach from the rest of the stomach. Gastric Bypass surgery or Roux-en Y gastric bypass is one of the highly effective surgeries for achieving long term weight loss.
Gastric Bypass is one of the best available weight loss surgical procedures. Regardless, due to the chronic and progressive nature of obesity, some patients may regain weight even after previous Gastric Bypass surgery. Gastric Bypass revision is a complex procedure. This is an option only in select patients who qualify.

Dr Chinnappan performed gastric sleeve surgery for me. Can not say enough how impressed I was at how it all went. He is a true professional. I have experienced 0 heartburn, losing weight, and already coming off my blood pressure medicine since the procedure. I love Dr.C and his staff. I had my surgery 10/18/21 and I was so nerves, but everytime I called the office pre and post surgery the staff was pleasant and professional. Dr. C has great bedside manner which is very hard to find in drs. now.. I recommend they highly.
