Don't scrap anything worth value here they don't know how to categorize things and I got ripped off with electrical light pole ballasts that were all copper and they classified them as small electrical motors big difference there these guys don't know how to classify their items

Great place to buy new and used steel of all shapes and sizes. You will save big bucks by buying used steel if you can. Everything is neatly organized making it easy to find what you need. The staff is friendly and ready to help.

I don't remember if I have ever been here maybe as a very young kid. I had a bunch of copper left over from getting a new HVAC system installed. I just drove in, gave them my license, and told them what I was there to drop off because I had multiple items in the back of my truck. Service was efficient and quick with quick payment. I really enjoyed looking at the koi pond while waiting the little bit of time I did to get served.

I buy all my metal here. They have everything. Things you would not even think of.

Business as usual, fast once you're inside but takes a little bit to get in. 👍

I always go to 1st Street Recycling because I've found the staff to be friendly and informative when it comes to properly separating your recyclables. They recognize me when they see me and are always talkative. I try my very best to properly separate my recyclables before coming in because these guys stay late everyday due to an end of the day rush that is a daily event. I also enjoy the fact that they give out $.50 pieces and $2.00 bills. They are also known for having the coldest pops from a pop machine. Thank you gentleman for being so helpful and understanding.

I don't know if a recycling center experience can get any better than this. Friendly people and $.55/lb for aluminum cans seems generous enough.

Steel is steel, the difference is the people. Ive done business here for over 20 years and ill never go anywhere else. Ihighly recommend
