Hair Klaudt is the BEST! Such an eccentric salon in the heart of Plaza Midwood. Both the owner Karl & my stylist Billiesue know how to deliver exactly the hair you desire. Well I have always been super skeptical about who does my hair but I wanted somthing crazy and fun for a change so I stepped in to hair klaudt and was not disappointed!! My stylist Billie sue did exactly what I asked for and more!! She was super friendly and beyond talented. She is truly a master at her craft. I will be going back for sure to see what she has in store for this mop on top of my head!!! I highly recommend her and the salon. Hair Klaudt is a pretty cool hair salon located in Plaza Midwood. They've been here for ages and are a fixture in the neighborhood. I get the impression that they can do anything but seems like they specialize in alternative cuts and coloration. The space itself is upstairs and has some very cool, kitschy decor that's right up my alley.

So now that I've covered that ... my review isn't so much for the salon part of things but their side business. Did you know they have an Ebay store called Ilovebrains? At any point in time they have at least 100 T shirts for sale online. There

Absolutely amazing hair salon. The stylists are extremely knowledgeable and are some of the friendliest people I've done business with. The atmosphere cuts away from the dreary chic of normal salons. If you're looking to have a unique haircut that doesn't fall into a generic style, whether it be fashion colors or something flavorful, this is the place to go to.

Unprofessional, lack of talent and accountability. Told me cash only when I arrived. Asked for a touch up balayage with warm tones and my whole head is orange. I was devasted and was told that it could not be fixed until the next day. When I message the stylist, Billie Sue; she never replied to follow through. I was crying in the chair..it was humiliating and her telling me that's what I asked for and it's my fault for not communicating..it made me more hysterical. I was wildly uncomfortable. The owner takes no responsibility as the chairs are rented by independent contractors. Awful

I have been going to Maeve for several months now and she is amazing with hair, not only with cuts but color as well I won't go to anyone else anymore and I highly recommend her to all my friends and family! She always listens and works her best to make my experience great every time I go.

I worked with Megan and I am very pleased with my hair! I have really thick wavy/curly hair, and she did an amazing job and actually listened to what I wanted. I highly recommend working with Megan if you are not sure who to work with. You will be so happy with the outcome. This is the first time in years I am happy with the way my hair looks.

I met a couple guys from Hair Klaudt at a comicon and loved them! When my regular stylist moved out of the country, I called them for a cut. Ali is awesome! I got her to do an ombre to my hair, and it turned out better than I thought it would. I've never been to Kenzie, but I only here good things about her as well. They tend to book up pretty quick, so I advise to schedule a couple weeks or a month in advance if you have a crazy schedule like me. "Would you care for some wine or a beer?"....not a question you often hear upon arriving at a salon. Two people greeted me and offered me beverages while I waited for Ashley to finish with her guest. It was an appreciated generosity.
Ashley is outgoing and makes conversation easily. Since I wanted something drastically different from what I had, she helped me decide on a cut that was right for me and it turned out great. I will definitely be a return guest.

Cannot recommend Hair Klaudt highly enough. I rolled by earlier in the week to check out the space, fell in love with the skeletons and glitter, and scheduled an appointment with Patrick for this morning. I love Hair Klaudt! I've been getting my hair cut and colored here for over two years. When I moved to another part of town, I'd considered searching for a new stylist but I realized that it's totally worth it to keep a gem like Karl than to deal with potential catastrophe elsewhere :) Their prices are extremely reasonable given the quality of the stylists.

I am a stylist at Hair Klaudt and am responding to Joseph M's review. At the time his review was written there were only two people that worked at the salon(the owner Karl and myself). His station was and still is at the back of the salon and mine was and still is at the front of the salon. Karl is generally busy from beginning of the day to the end of the day with only an hour for lunch at which time he leaves. I am busy 75% of the time. Seeing that Hair Klaudt was a two man salon at the time I don't see how we could have been clickish, smug, or even have attitude. Anyone that knows

Karl Klaudt has been taking care of my friends and family for over 25 years. He and his team (hi Tony!) are always professional. Their hospitality is second to none - in addition to being experts in cut, color and style.

It's like having your hair done by an artist, which is fitting since the salon supports local artists by featuring their work in an on-site art gallery. Understand: this is not a "supercuts". Hair Klaudt understand individual needs and gets it right the first time. Don't trust your hair
