Mendocino County Farm Bureau exists to ensure the success of farming, ranching and our shared rural heritage in Mendocino County. Founded in 1918, the Mendocino County Farm Bureau seeks to promote and protect the future of agriculture and rural values. Being a member of this organization gives you the opportunity to get involved.

When over 99% of the population in the state and the nation is disconnected from farming and ranching, Farm Bureau is your community. Join the united voice of Farm Bureau to support your operation and our community. As a member of Mendocino County Farm Bureau you are able to use local and statewide benefits.
Services
Since the early days of the organization, Mendocino County Farm Bureau (MCFB) leaders and volunteers have participated in the organization doing for its members what no one person can do alone. Efforts to form the organization started in 1917 in partnership with the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors and the University of California Cooperative Extension.
Humboldt and Napa Counties established the first Farm Bureau offices in 1913, followed one year later by San Diego, Yolo and San Joaquin Counties. In 1917, several Mendocino County farmers recognized the value of bringing an Agricultural Extension Service into the county and began the process of forming a Farm Bureau.
Generations of farm families have discovered that Farm Bureau helps find solutions to issues facing their businesses. The many programs and services provided by Mendocino County Farm Bureau are designed to strengthen agriculture's impact across the county. Whether you farm or just appreciate the role of farms in shaping our great county, your membership in Mendocino County Farm Bureau brings you multiple benefits.
All members of the Mendocino County Farm Bureau receive our quarterly publication which focuses on the latest developments in agriculture within our County. Northwest Insurance Agency Inc, is the endorsed insurance agency of MCFB. They are a "Master Certified" Nationwide farm insurance agency so their additional expertise in this area is a great value to our members.
Is it OK to say that man-made water storage is a good thing? Good for people, and good for the environment? Water storage includes everything from 3,000-gallon water tanks to spring fed ponds, to off stream reservoirs, and in stream lakes created with dams. They're all good. After the last 25 years where anything looking like a man-made pond or lake has been vilified as being bad for the environment, we see exactly the opposite.

The Farm Bureau is the one organization all farmers can rely on to represent agriculture equally. We(farmers) represent a very small part of the voting voice. I'm glad the Farm Bureau is there to help support my family farm.
