Dragoo Metal Works, Inc. (DMW) was founded in 1991 by Mike & Lori Dragoo. Mike served overseas in the Marine Corps for 4 years, working on aircraft in the metal shop. After returning home, Mike applied the experience gained in the military to the sheet metal trades, spending the next 10 years employed there.
Through the years, fabricating with stainless steel has become a specialty with Dragoo Metal Works (DMW). Our management and workforce understands the fabrication process and the challenges presented by it. DMW is ideally prepared for a metal fabrication process that is complex, involves advanced equipment and techniques to cut, bend, shape, weld and assemble parts into a finished product.
Since its beginnings, Dragoo Metal Works (DMW) has been active in sheet metal contracting relating to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning trades as well as other construction projects. Though DMW has transitioned mostly into stainless sheet metal used in more sanitary environments, the company is fully equipped to fabricate and install other metals and non-metallic materials as well.
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) sets forth standards for manufacturing Bioprocessing Equipment (BPE) in their publication ASME-BPE. Included are finish guidelines (Electropolishing) for component surfaces where product can come in contact. Finishes are determined by Ra values (Roughness Average) usually expressed in microinches.
