South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center (SMPAC) is an award-winning, school-affiliated performing arts center that operates year round. Based on a legacy of outstanding theatre and music education, we were founded in 2004 after South Milwaukee residents voted "YES" to invest in the benefits of performing arts education and outreach.
Rachel brings 25 years of professional communications and management experience plus a passion for the performing arts to her role. Influenced by her musician-educator parents, she has a strong interest in the performing arts and education. She previously served as SMPAC's Marketing Director and as a founding SMPAC Council Board Director.
South Milwaukee Performing Arts Council Corporation (SMPACC) is the 501 (c)3 non-profit organization that supports South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center with fundraising and programming (EIN 20-3124178). The Council is an all volunteer board that includes community members, teachers and business leaders who share a love of the arts and the positive impact they have in our community.
Our annual Performing Arts Series offers creative, innovative and diverse performances featuring artists from all over the world, and from close to home, too. Artists are carefully selected for their quality, creativity, diversity and fit for our stage and audiences. We'll post changes to policies as they occur here.
South Milwaukee Youth Theatre (SMYT) is an introductory musical theatre program that teaches students about acting, singing, dancing, technical theatre and more. Students build confidence, make friends and have fun! Our team of theatre education professionals creates a safe, respectful and collaborative environment where students of all ages develop life skills like teamwork, perseverance, kindness and responsibility.

Please donate to this starving theater. This is a beautiful place. They need to upgrade the sound system. Someone reach out to these wonderful young talented people and help them shine more. A beautiful place, you cannot hear them well. Please donate. Great place to do it with our young people. Great young adults. Some of them are going places.

My daughter dances in recitals and competitions here at least 5 times each year and participated in the youth theater program for the first time this summer and loved it. The seating is comfortable and you get a decent view from anywhere, but the best rows are f-h, in the center. The temperature is usually comfortable, even at full capacity. There is ample space “backstage” for costume changes and a smaller stage for warming up/practicing. Sound and lighting are great. Bathrooms are usually clean and stocked. There is a large cafeteria on the first floor. The theater is on the second floor
