We had no idea what we were walking into when we arrived at Phoebus Auction Gallery but a friendly lady and cat allowed us to browse the items for an upcoming auction and told us we can come back in person, via phone, or online and could see the entire list of available auction items online.
So cool.
There were some really neat pieces. We will def be back and will keep an eye on this place for some collectibles. We saw furniture, tons of figurines, jewelry, coins, decor, etc.

This auction gallery is cool.
The friendly lady inside invited us to look around and offered info on any of the items we commented that we liked.
She said everything was going to but up for the next auction and said we could come back for the live one or join online or call in and that everything was listed on the website.
We saw a number of great items like lamps, a chess set, several old metal historical figurines, a large dollhouse, mid-century modern and antique furniture and a bunch of little collectibles.

(BELATED REVIEW!) Two years later after my purchases, I am still sooo very happy! I enjoy Gail and her cat! Entertaining and fun humor was appreciated. I get rare opportunities to come to the auction. One day I came on a very slow bid day. I won the bid for 2 Victorian parlor his and hers chairs for only $75.00! They were in mint condition and completed my parlor. I will be glad when the Covid19 is over and done with!

Throughout the years I've attended numerous auctions at Phoebus Auction Gallery. The #1 thing I like about the Gallery IS the fact that the Auctioneer/Owner is local. Gail and Bill are both on site 7 days a week 10am-5pm should you have a question or concern. Gail is a professional, she's not some fly by night Auctioneer who comes in for a random event and is never to be seen again. Gail is a part of the community. 2ndly the items in her auctions ARE of value. You're not bidding on box lots or crappy items. If that's what's looking for, Phoebus is not your style. These's no need in leaving bad

Went to the auction on 4/23/17 and won 5 items. The quality of the merchandise is above average, however so are the opening bids by the owner/auctioneer. She very much doesn't like bids from the crowd and was very dismissive when I gave one on a piece that received no other bids. While she is humorous at times, her condescension to the crowd when no one places a bid on something she feels is a great deal is grating and makes the experience much less than it could be. Overall I'm happy with the pieces I won, but I won't listen to 6+ hours of under the breath insults to the crowd again to get similar

This is the place to find anything and everything. My preferred way to furnish my home, find a rare gift, and discover history. Phoebus Auction is a rarity in that the people are nice, knowledgeable and easy to work with, whether bidding or selling. Have been attending their auctions for years and am never disappointed!

I had a terrible experience with Phoebus Auction house. Took several items there last year, and have been sick ever since. This auctioneer sold vases that I had paid 300. to 400. years ago for pennies on the dollar. I would have been better off to have had a garage sale, or donate to charity and take a tax credit. So my advice, is buy there, do not sell there..
