Family Vision Associates was opened in March of 1979 by Dr. Norman Smith and one employee in an 800 Sq-Ft office. The original business card listed Dr. Smith's name and a description that read "Family Vision Care and Contact Lenses". As the practice developed, patients began to write checks to "Family Vision Care" as if that were the name of the business.
At Family Vision Associates, our entire Corpus Christi optometry team are committed to providing advanced vision care in a professional and comfortable environment. As an optometrist in Corpus Christi, our primary eye care service includes a complete eye exam that analyzes eye health and vision function.
Welcome to the new patient center for Family Vision Associates! We understand that your time is precious and that you need an optometrist who is professional, yet convenient for your lifestyle. In order to make the transition to our office smoother for you, we have created a New Patient Center with everything you need to get started.
At Family Vision Associates, our goal is to promote good eye health and enable you to have the clearest vision possible. We accept several types of vision insurance, cash, checks, and most credit cards. We inform our Corpus Christi patients about exam and treatment costs at the beginning of your appointment.
Some companies offer contribution plans for vision care and other medical services known as flexible spending accounts. Employees are given a menu of health care benefits to choose from, and employees can customize these consumer-directed plans to their needs. A portion of the fees comes from monies deducted from your paycheck.
