If you are calling around for bids on spray foam, save yourself some time and, in my case, frustration, and just hire Foam Engineers.
I received three bids to have closed-cell spray foam applied to the underside of my roof sheathing and gable end walls. Unfortunately, I figured spray foam is spray foam, so I went with the cheapest bid (when you search for spray foam companies on Google, they are one of the pay-for-click ads). I hired the other company and made arrangements for my family to stay somewhere else for the anticipated two days of installation and for the 24 hours of post-installation

We used this company to insulate our basement. Austin, our main contact, was excellent to work with! He was attentive, called back and was always prompt with promised information. He was knowledgeable and was able to get us set up with everything you'd need to finish a full basement. We used a combination of spray insulation as well as traditional insulation and I could not be more impressed with how everything turned out. If you have not investigated spray foam insulation then you really should. Rick's crew spray foam insulated my full finished garage and my circa 1928 house. The results are very noticeable and highly effective. The foam provides a full air and vapor barrier which holds in the heat/cold while eliminating air flow. This results in a far more comfortable environment and actually reduces dust. We went with an un-vented attic assembly which allowed me to access and remove my knob and tube wire along with giving me a large, clean storage space in the attic.
