I continue to stop in here to pick up something "quick". I find what I need in 5 minutes and it takes me 20 minutes to check out. Just completing a basic transaction is agonizingly slow - almost every time I go there. Almost no-one in the store and the line is 5+ people long? These folks simply don't understand that service is where this business is won or lost. I like to support local businesses but this one really taxes me

I would give zero stars if I could! I bought a product and was told, "Now if this don't work, you CAN return it!" The packaging was the same as buying batteries, you either cut the plastic or tear it! The item didn't fit so I took my receipt and the item in to return! I have NEVER been treated like or talked down to like I was during this transaction! I even looked around and asked if there was someone else that could help me! I've lived here my whole life and shopped here often but that will be my last! If the product isn't returnable then tell me that but don't treat me like trash! If you don

I've been dealing with Hiawassee Hardware for over 20 years. I buy all my lumber there and it's still tolerable but the store is a poorly staffed disaster. I'm usually in there 15+ times a I don't need assistsnce, I need supplies which are poorly organized and usually sold out for many weeks. They always blame it on one employee trust just quit.
I'll buy lumber there but I won't be going back inside. The aggravation isn't worth it.

Came in to look for a bolt to fix a door. Five workers walking around and not one bothered to ask if I needed help! Get up to the counter and the lady told me she needed a price on the bolts I had picked out! Really! If I had of had help like I needed to begin with, I would have known that! Very disappointed! Next time I'll drive the extra 15 minutes and go to Home Depot or Lowe's!

I went in this store to purchase a pole saw .went in and got it to the counter they look at me and ask how much was is it? Like I work there. So i had to go back again get the price and tell them. Then I use it for 10 mins and it tears up. So I take it back and they tell me they won't give me my money back and to bring it back tomorrow. This saw cost right around $650. So far my experience with them isn't to grand. I'm starting to think if you buy something from them if it works or not its officially yours when u pay for it
