I have been sewing and quilting for over 30 years. The first t-shirt quilt I made from all of my own tennis t-shirts that I had earned or collected. After that I just got hooked and started making more for fun. While I have made traditional pieced quilts - made from lots of little pieces sewn together- T-shirt quilts are my favorite.
We couldn't find one big enough for the largest quilt so we had our own Big Bag made! It's included, with our compliments, to protect your finished project during shipping and transport. It's sturdy enough to reuse and carry groceries, and that's good for our environment! I have been sewing and quilting for over 30 years.
The shirts should be clean. Wash them at least once. Any spots on the shirts will be included in your quilt. Mark clearly anything special we need to know, such as if you want to use both sides of a t-shirt. A post-it note and safety pin or pictures work very well for this purpose. Do not cut the shirts beforehand unless you want to include both sides of a t-shirt in your layout draft.
Workroom hours are by appointment to give you the personal attention your deserve. Evenings are available just ask. Same day quilt drop offs for quilting are fine, just let us know you're coming so that we can make sure someone is available. I have been sewing and quilting for over 30 years. Very simply, a t-shirt quilt is a collection of your favorite shirts turned into a warm and decorative quilt. It is one of the best ways to keep the memories behind those shirts alive and constantly visible. In t-shirt quilting, a block is a square or rectangle that usually contains at least one t-shirt.

I am truly delighted with my two quilts. Kyle and her wonderful team did a beautiful job on each of them. They transformed a lifetime of my T-shirts and sweatshirts into lovely works of art that each hold precious memories for me. The quilts they carefully designed and created with my input and choices of materials and threads are very robust and keep me warm and toasty. Kyle and her team did an amazing job of helping me fulfill my daughter’s request to have her favorite tee shirts made into a quilt. Since my daughter lives out of state, Kyle was great about including her in design decisions and letting us have time to get tee shirts sent to GA. When my daughter and her partner visited over Thanksgiving, Kyle set up a time for them to see the quilt top, visit the shop and make final choices for thread and quilting patterns. The final product is absolutely beautiful and will be a treasured keepsake.

Kyle and her design team are attuned to what you want from your T-shirt quilt. You can certainly find other quilters that will do it cheaper - but the quilts you get from Just T-Shirt Quilts are show pieces. Absolutely beautiful in every detail. I love the one Kyle and the design team put together for me. Well worth it!

We could not possibly be more excited and delighted with our quilt. The entire process was just plain fun. Kkyle worked with us from the very beginning on materials and design. She explained various stitching patters, available trim and backing. She offered several ideas that soooo improved the quality of the design. SHe "checked in" frequently with progress reports. She explained in advance potential problems such as some flaking on some iron ons, and whether or not it was advisable to incorporate buttons and other ideas as well. I had a great experience and now I have a great quilt to help me honor my old man. I held on to his favorite clothes for 5 years while I gained the courage to part with them. He would mock me for that. Now I realize I should have completed this project sooner. This is the perfect way to honor and remember him in a useful way. Just received my final quilt. Yes, I had three quilts made and could not be more pleased. Kyle is a pleasure to work with. She and her team take you step by step through the process and create such beautiful work. I had a quilt made with T-shirts from my travels, a charity quilt to highlight my opportunities to give back and a concert quilt to capture my live music memories. In my younger days I did quite a few bike and run events and accumulated quite a collection of t-shirts. I also have had the good fortune of being able to travel to many places so a good collection of location t-shirts too. Working with Kyle was so pleasant and it was just an all around fun experience!
