At that time, Lost Lodge was a known fishing destination. In the 1980's the Lodge went through a series of transitions and owners. It was actually closed for a period of time.

Great little cabins here. There isn’t a whole lot of room for a family of 4 or more but it’s does the trick. All the giant trees surrounding and standing over you is fun. Parking can be tricky if you have a boat but they do have an area you can leave your trailer. Be sure to bring item that you would bring if you were going camping as they don’t have a whole lot of kitchen ware.

The cabin was exactly as it was pictured on the website. We invited my in-laws at the last minute and they were very accommodating and let us have a bigger cabin that wasn’t rented. It’s minutes from town but the setting makes it feel like miles. I would definitely stay again. Thank you for the peaceful weekend.

We had the pleasure of staying at Lost Lodge for the extended July 4th weekend.
We were not only extremely happy with our stay but our expectations were exceeded!
The cabins are fully stocked with every basic necessity to cook and live comfortably through the long weekend. Emphasis here on basic necessity: the owner will let you know that towels, dish soap, and toilet paper are provided and to bring your own toiletries. We recommend to come prepared with hand soap, paper towels, salt, pepper, oil and cream/sugar for your coffee. Our 1 towel per person was sufficient but I highly recommend to

I worked for this owner Donna. Would NOT recommend!! She refused to pay me, due to another employee’s mistake. I have video recording of her saying she isn’t willing to pay until that mistake is fixed or made right, when I wasn’t involved. The other employee no longer works there, and at this point neither do I.

We were made to feel welcomed from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The cabin we stayed in (one of the larger) was fully furnished with a kitchen, bath and shower, and two cozy bedrooms and a surprisingly roomy living area. There is Wi fi and it worked well for us. There are plenty of animal friends on site, chickens and a rooster, peacocks and a miniature stalion named Peanut😆 the cabins are conviniently located near Somerset, and a half hour away from Cumberland Falls, with all kinds of hiking, watersports and outdoor activities in the general area. Plenty of resturaunts and

Rustic cabins in a wooded location, only 5 minutes from Burnside Marina! These are cute little basic cabins for a weekend getaway. Nothing fancy, but has what you need for spending your days on the lake. Kids enjoyed visiting the miniature horses, peacocks, and chickens! We would stay here again, Mike and Dona took great care of us!

We didn't get a chance to stay at Lost Lodge. I'm not rating my stay since it never took place. They canceled our reservation and maybe it's for the best. I'm rating them based on my Experience with them over the phone today trying to book a cabin.
I welcome Lost Lodge to rebuttal this post if they feel my words misrepresent them or if this has been a misunderstanding. I booked a cabin at Lost Lodge on Expedia. Minutes later I was contacted by phone by a woman who said she's the owner. I'm sure she is. She didn't exactly introduce herself with her name and title- but she told me her name and title

This is our third time staying at Lost Lodge and every time is better then the last. Donna and Mike are very welcoming and their cabins are very cozy and clean, this place is perfect for a weekend getaway. There is ample boat parking and several boat ramps within a very short drive. I can not recommend enough as we will be guest for life.

I cannot stress enough how much more enjoyable my trips to Cumberland are when we stay at Lost Lodge opposed to anywhere else (and I've tried MANY other lodging options)!!! The owners, Dona and Mike, may as well be my best friends because that's how they treat me and my guests. I'm 38 now but have been going down to Cumberland 5-15 times a year since I was 8 years old. The lake is my home away from home and I LOVE staying at Lost Lodge more than anywhere else I've been. By now I must have 4 dozen friends who would agree with me when I say Lost Lodge beats everywhere else

We arrived and had no bedding, the fridge didn't work, and the cabin blazing hot and was clearly not ready for occupancy. The woman who owns the place was extremely rude when she saw my service dog and complained that there would hair on stuff. We were also told we had to keep the AC on low. What really burned me up was her mention of her "Mexican speaking cleaning lady who doesn't speak English or clean well".

Now if that wasn't bad enough, this woman tried to charge a security deposit for a trained service dog, which is illegal. When I mentioned that ADA laws forbid

ZERO stars. I can not believe there are 'legitimate' and favorable reviews that rate this place 5 stars on here.
Maybe they are contrived and/or enhanced for whatever reason.
I am adamant in saying that the previous reviews are not a true representation of a nice, comfortable and charming cabin retreat.

We decided to stay here based on their impressively crafted ( and should I add deceptive ) website that depicts a pristine cabin site. I don't know how old the pics are that they used on their website, but that is NOT what we ended up with. Our cabin looked nothing like that

We were staying here on the 4th July 2014 weekend. The cabin was dirty, full of cobwebs. The beds had dust mites and smelled weird. The bathroom needed an urgent plumbing upgrade. We managed to spend the designated 2 nights at this place, with our two small kids and decided never to go back here. I happened to forget my newly purchased travel mugs and called back the owner, Dona. She asked me to send a postage pre-paid box so she could send them back. I never received my mugs back.I would'nt have bothered if she would have outright refused to send them back, but asking me to send the box and

We really enjoyed our stay at Lost Lodge. It's really close to the main street in town but is tucked away in these little woods which makes it really nice and quiet. There are about 15 cabins on the grounds. We stayed in a 1 bedroom and it was just right for the two of us. The furniture is adequate and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen furnishings were also good - we decided last minute to make cinnamon rolls in the morning and were able to find everything we needed (pans, utensils, plates, glasses). We built a campfire the night we stayed as well - but just fyi - bring your own camping

We have stayed on several occasions and normally our experiences are quite pleasant. It is great if you are looking for an economical place to stay without camping. It has lake access with a dock for your boat.

Most recently we were accused of leaving the carpets soiled. We were called and told we soiled the carpets when we did not. They told us we were going to be charged. They decided not to charge us for the carpet cleaning.

Overall, it is an okay place to stay.
