Born in Murphy, NC, the western-most town in the state, Dr. Peters is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Peters then went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia and completed a three year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Drexel University's Hahnemann Hospital.
He enjoys living in Historic Oakwood and spending time with his wife, Mary, and two lovely children. Dr. Bruce Fawcett provided care at this location for over 25 years and served many of our neighbors and friends. Dr. Fawcett transferred the practice to Dr. Eldon Peters in 2017 and enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons in Raleigh.

Amazing!!! This was the second podiatrist that I went to because, my first one said she couldn’t do anything for my feet, except possible surgery and didn’t seem to thrilled about that.
Dr. Peters and the staff was very personable, and is helping me with my foot issue tremendously. They took x-rays and gave me a proper diagnosis for my feet. They are also helping get proper insoles so that my issue can be corrected. I am very happy to have found this office and will make this my podiatrist for as long as I need one.

They are knowledgeable, respectful and kind. I only wish that they ran insurance first and then accepted payment instead of paying up front and then if I choose, I can contact then insurance for coverage.
Having said that, they do accept my insurance and if my deductible had already been paid in full the visit would have been covered.

Dr. Peters and the entire staff are just incredible! I've never met a more caring and kind group at a doctors office and such fun to talk to. Maybe I can get another toenail ripped off so I can go hang out with these guys again! I'm not a review type guy, and this is my first but really awesome folks!

I need to brag about how awesome everyone here is. I’ve been seeing Dr. Peters for a couple months now and he’s just the best. He has listened to all my concerns, answered any questions I had and did a great job on my surgery! Before my surgery and after, Dr. Peters was clear on everything I needed to do recovery wise and made sure I wasn’t nervous at all. Today, I went in for a 4 day checkup post op and was feeling extremely nauseous. When I mentioned this to Lindsay (before getting some new X-rays done), she grabbed a chair for me to sit in and even brought me a ginger ale to help settle

Dr. Peters and his staff made my anxious 12 year old a lot calmer by explaining everything they were going to do for her ingrown toenail, but without the nitty gritty details. It's was a great and natural combination of telling her what she needed to know and holding back on what she clearly didn't want to know.
The procedure itself for the toe took literally one minute. My daughter couldn't believe we'd been in the office for 55 minutes (from walking in to walking out).

Awesome place, had a emergency with my foot and dr. Peter’s worked me in on his own time which was amazing. He was attentive and so was the staff. They were very nice and gentle. Dr Peter’s heard my concerns and looked at my foot and did great. Will recommend anyone with a foot or ankle concern to dr. Peter’s
