Services
Bibens Ace began back in 1949 in Springfield, VT, originally named Bibens Home Center. This was the first of the Bibens Ace locations, by Eric R. Bibens, a builder of fine homes. In 1972, he decided to expand the retail store to 6,500 sq. Our second location, Bibens Lakeshore Hardware & Marine (now known as Bibens Ace Colchester) was purchased in August of 2000.
Bring in your old dry cell household batteries, old rechargeable batteries or old cell phones and we'll take them all and dispose of them for you. No item is too big or too small. We always have someone to carry your merchandise to your car and load them for your convenience - it's our pleasure! At Brown & Roberts Ace, we continue to foster a neighborhood place with the family face tradition. You can find multiple item for different things here, Including but not limited to; bird food and feeders, small saws, weedeaters, parts, lawn and garden stuff, bulbs, critter stuff, plumbing, paint items, and Yeti items, Some of the item are a bit expensive, but sometimes it's worth it to not have to drive way out of town for something

Most piss poor nut and bolt selection I have ever seen. This place hardly ever has what I need for standard replacement and repair supplies from plumbing to hardware to anything in between. But its on its way or they can order it. Please do not include the small engine department in this review. They are outstanding! 5 stars.

My experience was mostly good. Free delivery of my purchase, knowledgeable staff...
My only issue was that the man who took my order seemed to expect me to know more about construction than I do. I explained at the very beginning of our conversation that, although I had done a lot of reading, I was going to get terms wrong. This seemed to frustrate him, and he was a bit impatient at times.
Otherwise, a great experience.

Very nice store, nice selection. Very disappointed in the prices. I live close by to Springfield but find myself driving to Claremont NH instead. I like a lot of Vermonters have a pellet stove to offset the cost of heating the home. Stopped by Bibens to buy 10 bags of pellets and ended up paying $17.00 more than I have anywhere else. Most stores charge around $4.00 per bag, this store is charging $5.70. Come on let's get real. And by the way NH is not the only place where pellets cost less, Rutland VT is selling pellets for a little over $4.00 per bag.
