Marine Technical Surveyors is a privately owned and operated marine surveying company, founded by Larry "Chris" Zeringue and Tommy Prejean in 1993. Our home office is located in Donaldsonville, LA (Mile 175 on the Lower Mississippi River). We have since grown to serve the entire nation and around the globe.
Since 1993 MTS has specialized in various types of liquid cargo surveying. Our roots, since inception, have been in the fertilizer industry (nonhazardous cargo), but we have grown beyond our roots and specialize in multiple cargo types including chemicals and petroleum (hazardous/closed system gauging).

Upon nomination of a bulk Vsl, we have an entire team assigned to that vessel and they become the customer's common ground between all matters associate with the vessel transfer.We communicate with the ship's agent and stevedore's personnel prior to the arrival of the nominated vessel. In short summary, when working for MTS, a surveyor becomes the eyes and ears of our customers to ensure they receive the desired quality and accurate quantities of the cargo which they buy, sell, trade, and/or transport. A surveyor's priority is to ensure that what leaves point "A" arrives at "B" in the condition and state in which it should.
