We're on a 5-year mission to reach 50,000 children with Cortical/Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI). Every moment counts. We believe all children have great potential, that possibility exists in every challenge and that education is a human right. We believe the world is made more vibrant when all people are seen, valued and empowered to make their voices heard.
But more than half of children with multiple disabilities have never been to school. Perkins India dedicates every day to bringing these children the education they want and deserve. Perkins India launched the Identification and Intervention (IDI) model to identify children with multiple disabilities and vision impairment, and to connect them with interventions and education.
CVI stands for Cortical Visual Impairment/Cerebral Visual Impairment. CVI is a brain-based visual impairment caused by damage to the visual pathways or visual processing areas of the brain-and it's the leading cause of visual impairment in children. Individuals with CVI are neurodiverse, and their perspective on the world is unique and valuable.
We are building a world where people with complex disabilities and visual impairments can learn and thrive.
Through Perkins' Core Programs and Services, we work to fulfill our mission of serving children and young adults with multiple disabilities and their families around the globe, as well as the educators, professionals and researchers who support them, by focusing on innovation and excellence in educational services, accessibility and professional development.

Perkins International works with families, teachers, schools, doctors, hospitals, community leaders, universities and governments to make education accessible to all children-wherever they are and whatever their ability.

I got accepted for an internship position and they sent me the acceptance letter too. I am an international student who applied for OPT (I informed them during the interview that I am going to apply for OPT) and paid $400 for the procedure only because I had secured an internship They denied giving me an internship after all my application was completed without any explanation whatsoever.
Highly unprofessional and honestly, unacceptable.

Honestly this is a review of their adaptive playground, which is AMAZING. We've been to several in different states and this was one of the best. The accessible merry go round, that my son would go into in his wheelchair made me super happy. It was the first playground I've been to that had the restraints attached to the adaptive swings, so that was new and really nice. They had lovely grounds and the xylophones were cool to play with. My son loved touching the Braille. Seriously, one of the best parks we've been to and I usually hate going to parks because while some say they're accessible, they

My 11 year-old son has been a student at Perkins since he was 6 months old and entered the Infant-Toddler program. He went through Infant-Toddler, Preschool, and has now been a Lower School student for a number of years. We could not possibly be happier with the program, the facilities, the expertise, and most importantly the Love he has received at this world-class institution.
