Black teas have been the favorite of American and British tea drinkers for many years. Earl Grey, breakfast teas and even the masala chai native to India are a few of the blends with which you may be most familiar. Like white, green and oolong tea, black tea comes from the camelilia sinensis plant and does contain caffeine.

Green tea is made from leaves which are harvested, then quickly processed (usually air-dried and steamed) to restrict oxidation, thus resulting in the tea being lighter in color than black or other dark teas. It is extremely popular in China and Japan, and is gaining popularity in the United States because it blends easily with flowers or fruits to create a variety of flavorful tastes.

Boston Harbor Herbal Blends have been created to appeal to the many moods and preferences of our customers. From floral to fruity, spicy to savory, our specialty blends are perfectly balanced to make the most of every flavorful ingredient. Please note that many of our custom blends also include herbs which are medicine in nature because of their unique flavors.

Like teas, many herbs have medicinal or healing properties. At Boston Harbor, we import and carry in stock exceptional herbs which can be used to improve both physical health and mental well-being. These are available in individual batches, and are frequently added to our herbal blends to enhance both flavor and efficacy.
