Peerless Precision, Inc. ( PPI ) is a small, 20 person job shop that specializes in the manufacture of precision machined parts for the aerospace, defense, and medical devices industries. Our services range from prototype through production runs. We also provide assemblies and project management. PPI is a dock to stock supplier to Triumph Engine Control Systems in West Hartford, CT.
The aerospace industry enforces some of the most stringent standards of any field on the manufacture of parts and components. Particular emphasis is placed on dimensional precision, durability, and reliability. Parts designed for use in this industry must be able to withstand extreme temperatures and pressures, and must also be manufactured within tight tolerances to achieve and maintain exceptionally low failure rates.
Parts and components must operate at peak performance while withstanding harsh environments and rigorous handling. With the ever-increasing investment in the defense industry and a virtually constant demand for additional supplies, products must also be manufactured and delivered in a timely manner.
Optical measuring systems and 3D measuring systems are expected to consistently deliver accurate and precise measurements. As such, internal parts and components in these devices must be reliable and manufactured to extremely tight tolerances. Parts that are not designed to the required specifications can result in the development of excessive measurement tolerances, which can increase over time and lead to significant reading errors.
