Linda Lee purchased The Sewing Workshop sewing school in San Francisco in 1991, and that same year began producing a pattern collection under the same name. The Sewing Workshop has grown to become a premier multifaceted sewing business specializing in education and products for the home sewist.

In addition to producing an avant-garde line of sewing patterns for women's clothing, both in printed form and as downloads, the company sells designer fashion fabrics online and at their retail location in Topeka, Kansas.Other products include hard-to-find specialized sewing notions and how-to books by Linda Lee.

10/19/21 Sew the Frankie Shirt: This week, Linda shares styling ideas for one of our favorite patterns, the Frankie Shirt. Whether you go for ginghams, cherish checks, or are a sucker for stripes, we have the shirtings for you. Linda also shares a demonstration on how to raise the back neck of a shirt.
Our Sew Kansas series of classes, located in The Sewing Workshop studio in Topeka, KS, were developed for sewists of all levels to get one-on-one instruction with Linda Lee. Whether you are just starting out on your sewing journey or have sewn for years, you will learn signature sewing techniques will elevate your sewing skills.
Balance due 60 days before start of workshop. You will be notified of payment deadline one week before the balance is due. If the balance is not paid on the due date, your spot will be sold. You have the option to pay the deposit and balance fee in one payment at the time of enrolling in a workshop.
Linda's training and experience as an interior designer has come in handy as she travels the country teaching the art of combining beautiful fabrics for the fashion-conscious home sewer. Along with teaching fitting skills and fine sewing techniques, she is known for designing patterns under the name of The Sewing Workshop, a line of patterns for the modern sewer who is interested in architecturally interesting styles to flatter with flare.
