Tony's Seafood was originally established by Anton 'Tony' Konatich, a Croatian fisherman hailing from the Isle of Iz. The year was 1948, and Marshall was a bustling port sending weekly shipments of fresh butter, milk, and seafood south to San Francisco on the single gauge rail. Anton eventually brought his family over from Iz and opened Tony's to sell and serve his fish in the local community.

The Konatich family ran Tony's for three generations, serving locals and travelers alike heaps of seafood and sea stories, peppered with a dash of grit - staples of Marshall. In 2017, Hog Island Oyster Co. was offered the opportunity to purchase Tony's from the family. Co-founders John Finger and Terry Sawyer jumped at the chance to revive and restore the historical, local icon.

An awesome bayside restaurant. The staff was wonderful, kind and helpful even though they were so busy. We ordered a half dozen jalapeño oysters, rock crab, the oyster po’boy, side of fries, side of pickles, plus a glass of the house white blend for me and a local cider for him to wash it all down. The only reason I’ve decided to give this 4 stars instead of five is because the rock crab was HARD and while maybe that’s common knowledge, I’m a mountain lady and didn’t know. I have difficulty using my hands, and likely wouldn’t have ordered it had I known. I heard them warning other

Fantastic clam chowder and oysters. Amazing service and super friendly, but it was a slower day. Lucky lucky for us

Fresh oysters and delicious cioppino. We enjoyed our early dinner here. Although there’s a long line we were able to have drinks while we were waiting, so it wasn’t bad. Their service was really nice too.

A friend of mine introduced me to this amazing location. We drove over an hour to get to the location but it was very necessary. When we arrived, I could tell the staff was working extra hard and the server confirmed that. My group, which had about 4 people, came right after a party of about 18 people and later a party of about 12 people. We sat outside next to the water which was absolutely beautiful. You could see jellyfish. And though we were by the water it wasn't that cold (even with that said though, if you freeze easily I recommend bring a blanket. Skip the coat, it won't be comfy. Trust

What a delight!!! After having eaten at HIOC in SF and in Marshall, we wanted to try out the sister restaurant on our last leg of our trip. We were thoroughly pleased with our meal. Incredible oysters as always with amazing salads and great alternatives to the other two menus we devoured. Can’t wait to come back west for more HIOC experiences! Service was impeccable too.

On a day when it was 90+ in Marin, it was a perfect 75 on Tomales Bay. What better place to enjoy some oysters and fish. Get there early though. It closes at 5pm

Great place for oysters and other amazing sea food. Not in-expensive side but the food is very tasty. The Salazar’s oysters were our favorite - good size and sweet. Nice views of the bay as well.

Delicious oysters and great service. Oyster menu attached, prices of the local ones on the high range for a variety of sizes. We also ordered some mussels and chips, as you can see we did not wait much to eat those, fantastic sauce too! The view is unbeatable and on a sunny day there are tables with shade or sunshine. Not an everyday place but for the experience deserves the 5 stars.

It was our second visit here, and we didn't get disappointed. Food quality is great as always. Kumomoto oysters are pricey but worth every dollar. Cioppino - their seafood stew was fresh and comforting.
We got here around 3pm on a Mother's Day without reservation, it was packed, but we managed to get a table in about 1 hr. Waiters are cordial and attentive. Many people bring their dogs to this restaurant (outdoor) we had our pit bull with us too, and she got a bowl with water. Great place with great views. We are definitely coming back with friends and family.

The food is really awesome and a great way to stop by to pick up some of the freshest oysters in the bay area. Came on a weekend close to closing time and was not able to get a seat for 2. Ordered a couple of their most delicious foods for takeout. They oysters are extremely pricey, tasty and small however. The fish and chips was quite good as well and a great value. The crab claws with cajun seasoning was good however the meat was a little tougher than I expected and shells are not fully cracked requiring a lot more manual efforts and good luck if you don't have a metal double jaw. Great friendly
