Koen and I met and fell in love in this charming ski town and a year later we moved our lives to Amsterdam, Koen's hometown. The Dutch use the word, gezellig, for which there is no direct English translation and is used to describe the coziness and comfort of an ambience, a person or a moment. Very similar to the Danish hygge.

What a hole in the wall!! I love love love Hygge, and cannot believe I've never wandered in here before. Their little cafe area was incredible, great outside area with walk up window and a fire pit. It was wonderful! I was so pleased with my experience. I will 10000000% be here again and share it with my friends and family. They deserve to be known here in the valley.

Stepped in here and wanted to move in immediately. The owners have curated such a special space with thoughtful gifts... I bought several items for myself and others and really enjoyed the shopping experience... and then I got coffee.
Whoa. Best cappuccino I've had in a LONG time, and I'm picky (and used to great craft coffee in DC.) . Loved the touch of the cookie served on top and the aesthetic of the space!

Hidden gem of a place! Very cozy furniture store with a tucked in cafe in the back. They had a variety of coffee/lattes with the baked goods. I tried the date vanilla latte with a coconut pecan cookie and they were both amazing! There is a cute outdoor patio with seating and a fire-pit in the middle.

Hands down one of the prettiest stores I have ever been in! Amazing cafe, and the decor and clothing is truly gorgeous. Beautiful outdoor seating area to enjoy your coffee. Highly, highly recommend walking through and picking up some gorgeous pieces for your home. Obsessed and wanted to buy the entire store.

We visited Hygge Life in early september while staying in the Vail valley for the weekend. All i can say is if you are driving by you MUST Stop in. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about their wares and artists. The coffee and baked goods delicious. And of course I wanted literally everything in the store! It is so well curated. As the holidays approach I am planning a special trip back to get something for everyone on my list.

Super cute place along the way to Avon. Loved grabbing a latte at the cafe while shopping. The women working there were so sweet, too. There is an awesome selection of unique hygge home goods and beautiful jewelry. A really nice gift shop or place to stop in to buy something for your house. Can't wait to go back.

Alexandra and Koen have created the most fantastic store. First, it has a collection of super stylish home furnishings from Europe and the Vail Valley and everywhere in between. Amazing things you won't see anywhere else that trend toward minimalist / Scandinavian / warm. Second, they added a café last year that is delightful... indoors and out. Third, they are more like hosts than merchants. They genuinely enjoy interacting with customers and telling you about the amazing products they've found.

My family loves Hygge Life for gifts and household needs and now the new Café addition is very relaxing. Their patio has a laid back Hygge vibe. When winter comes and the patio is to cold, the cozy, stylish cafe seating inside is perfect & inspires my creativity. I’d love to spend my days there writing and drawing. It’s locally owned and you’ll often see the both there working their Hygge magic. ✨✨✨

A really great option for home decor and gifts. The word is a Danish word that describes comfort, and this store really offers the perfect blend between Scandinavian and Mountain comfort feels. It's got everything from inexpensive accents all the way up to high-end furniture. The owners are very knowledge and energetic, and are more than happy to help make suggestions or tell you in-depth about the products they have in stock and where they come from.

Hygge Life is a magnificent new store in Eagle-Vail. The store is filled with cozy and comfortable hand made items from Northern Europe. I have bought wonderful carved salt rock pillar candle holders, textiles from villages in Turkey, and even a real sheepskin rug. This is my go to place when I want to add a warm cozy touch to my home or buy special gifts for friends and family. How lucky we are to have this awesome store in the Avon-Vail area.

Stopped into Hygge Life on our way through Avon. It is a beautiful shop with an incredible inventory of very tasteful and high quality handcrafted home goods from Europe, North Africa and the US. Alexandra and Koen, the owners, were extremely friendly and helped my girlfriend and I pick out some great items - beautiful salt rock and alabaster stone candle holders and mugs - that will definitely make our home more hyggelige! They were so cheerful and pleasant, they made it such a wonderful experience. I wish they had another shop here in Utah but I will definitely be stopping back in next time I

While visiting Colorado, I knew I wanted to stop into this little shop I had seen online. I had read about Hygge (hoo-ga) and wanted to check it out. It did not disappoint.
Hygge Life is owned by the sweetest local couple and I cannot express how helpful they both were during our visit. When we drove up, we immediately saw this beautifully modern chair covered with a sheepskin throw - and twinkle lights in the window. It screams cozy. Walking in and immediately to the left is a hanging rope swing (go for a swing like I did, they encourage it)! It is peaceful and calming just wandering though
