Individuals suffering from limited mobility due to a variety of medical issues often have trouble and need help standing from a seated position, or lowering into a seated position from standing. Being lifted under the arms can cause pain to both the patient and the caregiver.
The FOOTBARWalker changes this by allowing the caregiver to use a single foot to anchor the walker to the floor, using their body weight and features a sturdy bar across the top which the patient can grip while standing or sitting and the caregiver counter pulls with little effort or stress to their shoulders, back or health.Check out the -"Using the FOOTBARWalker" page for written instructions on how it works.

In 2014, an idea was conceived when friends were in need of a device to aid the wife in assisting her husband without injuring herself. The patient was an 88-year-old WWII veteran recovering from a third hip replacement and had been diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia and dealing with essential tremors.
Our FOOTBARWalker arrived late yesterday afternoon. I unpacked it and was glad to see there was no assembly required. Bob wasn't having a good day yesterday and had laid down for the afternoon and was refusing his supper meal at the assisted living. But I took the FOOTBARWalker over and explained it to him.
