If I could give them 0 stars, I would for American Surgical Supply. They obviously don’t want to do their jobs and they are very ignorant. You will never get the supplies from this place because they don’t put it through, and they don’t bother to call you when they eventually “close” the script. Lady on the phone was very rude several times and even hung up the phone. This place needs to be investigated and cleaned out…big time!!. I feel bad for any elderly that try to deal with this place, because they don’t have as many resources as some of us. Best thing to do is avoid this place

They need the ability and willingness to do some of the insurance and doctor leg work. And need better communication assets for this. They were very kind and worked with me to get something to get us threw at a very good price. They also need to stock more supplies and be an actual supplier. Use a warehouse or something instead of the middle man role they are currently doing.

This place has the worst customer service and are downright rude and shady. I went there for compression socks and I was told they do not submit to insurance for compression socks = $54 cash, there wasn't enough volume to make it worthwhiIe. I had contacted my insurance, and was told the compression socks were covered at 85% and that American Surgical Supply was a preferred provider. After leaving the store and telling my wife what happened she called the store and the man that answered was rude to her when she advised him as a preferred provider he needed to submit the claim to the insurance company

This place gave me a CPAP machine that was so out of date that my pulmonologist’s staff had not seen the model for several years. When I told the company what my doctor’s staff said they became extremely rude. When I was there waiting for help with that problem I saw a picture of their respiratory therapist and it was not the woman who gave me instructions on the machine. That then made sense since the woman I talked to seemed to have no clue about sleep apnea.

MINDY, an employee, is solely responsible for me dealing with American Surgical ! If there is something she does not know, she pleasantly does the research!
From my point of view, Mindy is KEY to the success of American Surgical. Hopefully, her efforts are appreciated.
When someone is spending thousands of dollars or $10.00, no part of which is reimbursed by insurance, the least an owner can do, which was eventually done, is walk out and greet their customers! This is "smart" even if they were unable to make a sale for whatever reason!
From my point of view, Mindy is KEY to the success of American Surgical. Hopefully, her efforts are appreciated.

This place is out to make money ONLY!!!!!!! Told me that if I wanted to go through my insurance It could take up to 48 hours! I needed what I went in for immediately. So, I asked how do I get in touch with their people that handle the insurance to help me as a customer and was told “they can’t give that information out.” Signs all over the place that say “ all sales are final.” Right there that tells you something is very fishy with this “Mom & POP” store. BEWARE! All sales are final. That is never a good thing. I bought medical equipment at other places and returned them no problem. This place you cannot. That should have been my first clue that this is not a good place, but I didn't know the policy until I was already done picking out the much needed last minute supplies for my mother who came to live with me on very short notice.
We also got a piece of garbage grab bar set for the toilet. $50 and it's unstable and now we're stuck with something that is of no use. This place really takes advantage of people

WORST COMPANY EVER!! Told me I didn't need the compression that was prescribed from a Vascular DR and I bought two pair. When my swelling in my leg continued, I went to another supplier and ordered the stronger compression, and that took care of the problem. I immediately returned the unopened stockings and told them to return the money to the insurance company for the unused pair.. When I called weeks later, the money was never returned!! They kept it!! So that left me with no ability to have my insurance pay for my third set, which I'm entitled to. Wouldn't recommend them to ANYONE.. Most unprofessional
