Services
Life takes unexpected turns. Although most of us don't like to think about incapacity or end of life, everyone can benefit from knowing what will happen to their families, their loved ones, and their assets when the unexpected happens. If you become incapacitated and unable to manage your financial affairs, who would you trust to manage them for you?
One of the most pressing challenges for elders and their families is the high cost of long-term care. When a spouse or family member suffers from a chronic illness or injury such as Alzheimer's Disease, stroke, dementia, or a broken hip, you may be overwhelmed.

Grappling with your loved one's condition is hard enough, and now you have to figure out what type of care is needed, where it should be provided, and perhaps most challenging of all-how to pay for it.Long-term care is provided in a range of settings, including in-home care, adult foster homes, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities.
Guardianship is a legal arrangement in which an incapacitated individual, known as a protected person, is placed under the supervision of another person, known as a Guardian. Guardians are appointed by the court and given broad legal authority to make medical decisions, arrange for appropriate care, and determine the appropriate living situation for the protected person.
Conservatorship is a legal arrangement in which the assets and income of a financially incapable person are placed under the supervision of another person, known as a Conservator. Conservators are appointed by the court and given broad legal authority to manage the financial affairs of the financially incapable person, known as a protected person.
The primary purpose of a Special Needs Trust ("SNT") is to provide a fund for a disabled person that will enhance his or her quality of life, while simultaneously protecting the individual's entitlement to certain government benefits. Many individuals with disabilities receive "means-tested" government benefits that provide income, medical care, and other critical supports.

To whom it may concern:
I have made calls to three other lawyer places in the last 2 weeks and I was still hoping for some kind of answers. After reading an article by Edgel law group on the internet that related to my concerns and was so concise I decided to call. I spoke with Tony and he completely alleviated my frustrations and anxieties. He was very personable and helpful and I want to give him the kudos I think he deserves. Thank you Edgel Law Group and thank you Tony!
Sincerely,
Mary Torkelson
