Services
Since 2002, a growing number of caring volunteers and committed community leaders have enabled us to provide needed services for hundreds of area seniors. The Laurel Faith in Action program addresses the issues of isolation, loneliness and meeting basic needs of our recipients, enabling many to remain in their home.
Recipients 60 years and older who reside in Latrobe, Unity Township, Ligonier, Ligonier Township, Derry and Derry Township may receive program services for an average of two hours per week. Laurel Faith in Action is a wonderful resource that is available to YOU free of charge! We are here to help and willing to assist you.
Volunteering with Laurel Faith in Action is a great way to give back to the community. Many of our dedicated volunteers are retirees, families, high school and college students, and professionals who participate in Employer Volunteer programs. We even have program recipients who volunteer. There is something for everyone!
Laurel Faith in Action is excited to invite you to take part in the release of our first cookbook, "Cooking is Act of Love." We are gathering recipes, memories and stories from our Faith in Action family. The cookbook will be released in February of 2022. We are excited to bring the community together through cooking and sharing memories.
