Services
With an awareness of our place in the community of the Old Mission Peninsula and Northern Michigan, we - the owners, chef and staff - take our inspiration from the land and waters that surround us. Our menu features the best ingredients available from local farms and fishermen, using the freshest products, honoring the seasons and supporting the agricultural economy of the region.
When it comes to great food in Traverse City, there are a lot to choose from, but Mission Table is by far one of my favorites. It's become our "go to" location for special events like my recent birthday. The food is delicious and I love that everything is local - food and drinks. Not to mention the wonderful staff.
Mission Table has other venues that can meet any need. Whether it's an intimate wedding reception dinner or corporate event, we can customize an experience that will exceed your expectations. Please contact Barbara Olson, Events Director, at (231) 944-6984 and and we'd be happy to help make your event a reality.
Mission Table offers our own award winning North Peak beers, Civilized spirits and Bonafide wines. Host sponsored bar can be based "per consumption" (the number of non-alcoholic & alcoholic beverages are tallied per soda, beer, cocktail and bottles of wine served). A "cash bar" can be set up for your guests to pay their own consumption (cash bar will incur a $150 set-up fee to be paid by host).
We are locavors who love to celebrate Michigan's bounty and the menus reflect that philosophy. Everything on our menus are not only housemade but also sourced as near to the estate whenever possible. We can customize all menus to accommodate your group's needs, budget and dietary restrictions.
Craft brews & cocktails (as well as the opportunity to learn about how they're made from our brewers) available for your attendees priced per the depth of the program.

I recently got married at Mission Table/The Peninsula Room. I cannot say enough about the awesome experience we had! The food was amazing, the service was on point and the view was breathtaking! My guests are still raving about the food and the beautiful venue!! Barb, Madi, Sam and the rest of the staff were very friendly, easy to work with and attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this business! I can’t wait to go back to celebrate our anniversary!!

I cannot express how appreciative we are for Mission Table and all that Barbara did to help us prepare for our wedding this past weekend! The weather was perfect, the views were stunning, the food was phenomenal, drinks were on-point and everyone that we encountered was beyond courteous and helpful!
I truly appreciate the special care and level of attentiveness that everyone offered Jeff and I! Barbara was amazing to work with! Our family and friends loved everything and continue to express gratitude for the entire day!
Thank you again for everything! We plan to recommend Mission Table to everyone

Got married here, was disappointed with the event coordinator Barb. But Samantha was an amazing pleasure the day of our wedding, she was so helpful and the staff took time to finish up decorations we didn't have time to do before the wedding. I would post a book, but ill save my complaints for another time because my night wasn't ruined. There was just a ton of issues before including being called the wrong name a few times via phone, table layout changing and everytime we'd talk about meal/alcohol it was a repeat every time like nothing was written down or taken off of our signed contract

Exquisite food. We did have a bit of a wait for our reservation time, but that was due to the party ahead of us, the staff got the table flipped for us incredibly fast. The caliber of the food also made it well worth the wait. Great cocktails and good beer selection, not vast, mind you, but something from all along the spectrum of craft beers. Staff were friendly and attentive. It's pricey, but the food is all farm to table and you really do get what you pay for 6/5 stars. Will return in the future.

What a great spot to go to for a lovely lunch! Located off the front of the building of Jolly Pumpkin, you are seated on a deck facing beautiful Lake Michigan. The service here is excellent. From the hostess to the server, everyone was pleasant and friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy your presence in their company.
We ordered a pizza and breadsticks to split. All of their pizza's sounded amazing, but we decided on the Greek. It was absolutely loaded with toppings (so much so that the crust was soggy in the middle). The crust is handmade every day and it was perfect - crispy, chewy, delicious

The service was outstanding. That's a big start right there. I am bummed I can't remember the servers name as he was EXCELLENT. Now .... I am also mad that I did not take a single photo. I had the scallops and they were cooked to perfection! The thing I ate that will make me have dreams is the cauliflower - OMGosh - IT IS A MUST!!!

We were really excited to come here on our trip to Traverse city. The views alone from the patio are worth the trip- but not so much for the food. We got the Trout and the burger. Both were way overcooked (we asked for medium rare on the buger). I expected the bacon jam and aioli to really add some flavor to the burger, but we were disappointed. We also got the cauliflower app- nothing too memorable there- and I think we also got the beets but nothing special.
All in all- pretty sunset - but don't make the trip out here just for this restaurant, like we did.

Just alright. If you're not already on the peninsula, I wouldn't take the time to come up here just for this restaurant.
Food | the food itself is actually great. Love how local everything is. Pork chop is great. Fried chicken is always good even though the sides it comes with aren't. Nice, light starter salads.
Where it falls short is service.
Service | it was a Friday dinner, it wasn't crowded at all. But from the get-go it wasn't great. Our table for 4 was missing a chair and a place setting--okay that's fine as they went about quickly to fix but did you have

Amazing food with a great atmosphere! Our service was good and their menu had a great choice of beers and wines (which only features local options) along with tasty options for dinner. I ended up getting their burger and it was really good! Their fries were also very good and paired really well with my beer that was from the brewery next door. I would recommend making reservations as this place is extremely busy all nights of the week during the summer time.

Had dinner at Mission Table while visiting the Traverse City area over the weekend. We enjoyed the smoked rabbit ravioli, short rib pasta, scallops, filet & squash soup. The beet salad is absolutely amazing with salt roasted beets, greens, mango Stilton, honey yogurt, salted walnuts & apple anise. It's worth the drive up the peninsula just to have the beet salad. Delightful meal!

We stumbled upon Mission Table during our annual trip to Traverse City and must day it was one of our favorite dining experiences we've had in the area. I definitely recommend the short rib tacos as an appetizer. We also tried the risotto with fresh corn and bacon -yum! I had the steak salad for an entree - it was light and refreshing. My boyfriend had the lamb, which was also good but the cook was a little inconsistent as he ordered medium rare (some pieces were cooked to perfection while others were medium well). The service and ambiance were outstanding! If you are on the fence about

This was our first trip to Mission Table and it did not disappoint! We had a great table overlooking the lake and a great sunset. Our server, Michael was friendly and knowledgable and our meal was fantastic. The elk sausage small plate was good, but the lamb ragout was out of this world! For an entree, we split the lamb shank and it too was delicious. I wish we had room left for dessert, but after this fulfilling meal, we did not. The only reason I could not give this place five stars is because our server appeared to have more than his share of tables and despite the fact that he really hustled

We were absolutely blown away by Mission Table. After a long day of hiking, we came here for a late dinner (about 9:30pm). It is in a gorgeous location and is beautiful, but isn't formal enough to feel (that) self-conscious in hiking clothes.
Alcohol selection - I love that it's all local. Jolly Pumpkin is attached to the restaurant, and their Ann Arbor restaurant was one of my favorites when I went to school there, so I was pleasantly surprised to see a branch of the brewery here. They have a decent wine selection, too. I tried the Two Lads Pinot Grigio, which I hadn't had before

My husband and I truly enjoyed our experience at Mission Table -- great way to end the evening after hiking the sand dunes all day! 4.5 for the overall experience.
The restaurant is located on the peninsula, above 20 minutes from Traverse City. The restaurant itself has a rustic charm - perfect for special events - with a farm to table focus.

This is a wonderful restaurant. Located in a former historic inn but updated and attractive. While we live in San Francisco, we make sure to make a reservation here while visiting the Traverse City area. One of my (and others in my party) all time favorites is the briny buttermilk chicken. It's a winner every time. I've also tried the filet mignon and the lake trout (very good, but not as unique as the chicken). Cool cocktail (even a strawberry mojito!), beer (North Peak beer is awesome), and wine (local) options. Favorite spot to sit during the summer is outside on the patio (recommend

My husband and I got married at Bowers Harbor/Mission Table last June. We're from California, so planning this wedding across the country was challenging enough, but the ladies from Mission Table made it very easy. I met with Barbara when we visited and toured the site in early 2014. We were able to reserve and make all accommodations via email, which was super helpful due to the time differences. Eventually Kate took over and helped us create a smooth event. I was so impressed with their professionalism and how everything

This lakeside setting in a grove of trees on West Grand Traverse Bay can't be beat. The dining room is a mix of rustic chic craftsman furniture, big stone hearth, rich wood beams and expansive lake views.
Started the evening with three glasses of wine from 2 Lads winery (pricey but good at $11 a pop for pinot noir -- and yes, Michigan actually delivers a respectable pinot. Thanks chef Piombo at Nonna's for the tip).
Although we were there during peak season, the dining room was nearly empty, about half of the outside tables filled. Not sure if it's the price point or the distance

We rolled up the dirt driveway and parked next to a Chevelle from the sixties. The parking lot sits directly next to wine vineyards. I imagined the old muscle car belonging to one of the Old Mission wine barons.

Mission's Table is one of those places you read about and you plan and make sure you get there. I have attempted to go here many times and they were closed, it wasn't the right season, so on and so forth. So, when I finally made it there with some friends I was sooooooo excited. They are located in the same building adjoined to Jolly Pumpkin in a beautiful spot located on the peninsula. It's a great drive on sunny summer day. The water glows of blues and turquoises and you wonder how you ever lived your life not being there.
