Great service! I brought a portable generator in for repairs and it was ready the next day! They text you when it is ready which is also convenient. The staff is always friendly and helpful also. There is no other place in the area I would take my equipment for repair or service. They have a great selection of parts and accessories also. 5 stars!

My Stihl edger had a bolt shear off on the blade mount took it to Cecil’s for removal. The bolt was $2.99 they charged me $45.00 for LABOR a TOTAL RIP OFF. It would take 5 min with a bolt removal tool. $45.00 for a $2.99 repair plus a $2.40 Environmental Charge W$@....BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Do not get anything fixed here unless you want to get RIPPED OFF!

I purchase a new 2600 serious tractor in the late fall. I have had nothing but issues with this machine. There was no hydro fluid nor oil in the bushhog when it was delivered even after I was told that everything was topped off and ready to go. I had trouble shifting gears and apparently that was broken when it was sold me. I worked through it and tried to give it the benefit of doubt. I sent it in early for the 50 hour service. When I received the machine back there was no oil in the engine nor hydro fluid. I was out on the farm mowing with my 4 year old daughter a little over a month ago, this

Our PTO went on our lawnmower, along w/ a few other service needs. Though it felt like a lifetime to get it back, the service people kept us in communication. When we recieved it back it was like a new mower!! They went above & beyond our expectations..I'd recommend Cecil's to anyone looking to service there machines!

Called them to check if they repaired lawn tractor tires and they told me about a 2 day turnaround. I brought all 4 tires- 3 needed tubes & a large hole in the rear. The service manager asked how much I paid for the tubes and thought that his price would be better. He saved me about $30. They had to order a replacement tire and completed the job in 2 working days. That is real customer service.

I had an issue with my chainsaw and brought it in for repair. The service rep, Rob, was very professional and kind. They were able to get it repaired fairly quickly and for a very reasonable price. Additionally, they cleaned the saw thoroughly! I appreciated the kinds service and will be a repeat customer.

They have some knowledgable people working there. Can and have had highly skilled mechanics there but unfortunately the owner is not a fair and honorable person. So customers suffer with overpriced and work not done correctly on their equipment. If you want a dishonest, unreliable company, this is the place to go.

Continual frustration. The owner's son is great. Literally, everyone else there I've had dealings with is below average at best. A huge "I don't give damn" attitude. They are who I purchased the equipment from so I go back when I have to. I would never buy from them again. Now the problem is not completely their fault, after all, I return. Kind of a prisoner condition. I wish all small business the best of luck, but I also wish the customers were a concern to these small businesses.

I had got an estimate from them for fixing something I blew up. They let me know it wasn't worth putting my money into fixing what was wrong.
My 2nd interaction with them was just a phone call. They let me know they didn't have what I needed. They must have heard the disappointment in my voice because they called me about 10-15 minutes later with a phone number and address of someone who could help me. I assume they took the time to write down my phone number from caller ID? Great customer service!

Since moving to the area I've used Cecil's for maintenance and equipment sales. I purchased a high end weed trimmer, backpack blower and Stihl Chainsaw.
After using the chainsaw 10 minutes the bar nuts flew off along with the chain. Thinking it odd, I repaired it myself and started again....same thing. Over the course of the next 7 months I took the saw in twice to get new nuts as I lost the others. They kept telling me I didn't tighten things enough, making me feel like an idiot....
Finally fed up, I took it in and said I was done, I hated the saw. They kept it for a week and called

My husband and I took our mulching mower in for repair recently. Someone had run it over some rocks and broken something and it just gave up the ghost. He was worried when he dropped it off that the repairs might be too expensive. Since this was our first experience with this particular merchant, we were dubious but hopeful
Today I went with him to pick up the mower. The front office was very busy, yet the employees were still pretty nice. Once he paid we went to the back and our mower was retrieved. It looked brand new, it was so clean!

This place is hit or miss - one day you might get a salesperson who is knowledgable and helpful, the next day you get surly, uninformed and aggressive. When I returned to the store to request a rebate coupon that was mentioned in an ad - and that I was entitled to according to the manufacturer- cranky salesperson suggested I pay for the "freebie" he had given me, and then he would give me the manufacturer's rebate coupon.
Uh, no.
This is my third go-around with these guys....Had a bad experience with a John Deere tractor repair that no one seemed to know anything about

Prompted by Leslie L's glowing review, felt the need to post my own positive for this place. Purchased a Stihl chainsaw from them a number of years ago when we were just starting to hack through the jungle that is our fixer-upper farm, & were very pleased with both the product & the ensuing customer service.
Chain-sharpening has been easily scheduled & quickly accomplished. In fact, they even did a rush job for us when my husband had an unexpected few days off & really wanted to be able to use the saw to do some work.
Bottom line: Nice folks who apparently value customer
