Do not recommend for victims of domestic abuse!! My current attorney still recommends that I report her to the association.

I used Elizabeth for divorce and custody needs. I highly recommend her based on my experience with her. She was very knowledgeable and patient with my requests. I very much trusted her and enjoyed meeting with her. I felt that she was honest and upfront but genuinely cared about our results. We mainly communicated through email which I liked, as it gave me a written record of things discussed and it helped to jog my memory with everything that was going on. She even helped me with matters several months after the divorce (ex: changing my name, etc). These were all things I could have done myself

For anyone who is looking for a custody attorney be forewarned! I hired Ms. Porter to represent me in a legal matter of custody . At the onset of retaining her services I was impressed and thought I chose well. I paid her the full amount in advance and was assured she would get to work immediately. Unfortunately, within the first week I realized I chose poorly. Let me Explain. SHE DOES NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS! You have to communicate with her by email! Even her assistant who does nothing but apologize on her behalf does the same! Any motions you have filed are done at the last minute with detrimental

After the initial consultation and paying my retainer I never, in 4 months, actually spoke to Elizabeth. I always had to deal with her assistant. They dropped the ball on my case several times. I was always… having to call and try to get updates. Weeks would go by and nothing would have been done on my case. In 4 months nothing was accomplished. I managed to get an agreement out of court on my own. Elizabeth was sent the information for divorce agreement and two weeks later, they still had not been typed, even after they had told me they were working on them several days before. They missed

Had a negative experience. This is my final response to her after she informed me she would file a motion to withdraw from my divorce case. "Thank you. I feel that someone could have easily told me you were in trial or tied up with something else for the whole month of July so I don't feel like that is an excuse of no reply at all, and your assistant just kept telling me she will let me know what's going on."
