Since 1947, Tilt A Door has been installing and servicing garage doors and garage door operators in Southern California. The company's founder, Arnold G. Hoehner, worked for the original Tilt-A-Door Company in Detroit Michigan. The company produced a one piece light weight aluminum tilt up door that had a unique counter weight system, which at the time was both innovative and durable.
To this day, Tilt A Door still services and installs one piece aluminum doors as well as wood, steel and fiberglass sectional doors; stainless steel doors, glass doors, wrought iron doors, door operators, gates, and gate operators. We can customize doors and gates to any client's specifications.

We have been in business for over 65 years doing residential and commercial garage door, garage operator, gate, and gate operator installation and repair.

These guys are amazing. My roll up garage door decided to stop working and I couldn't get my car out in the morning (late to daycare, late to work). I called 3 garage repair places and all were busy to help me to come out to see what was wrong or schedule me in. Derek mentioned that they were busy too but would get someone out to at least to get the car to the driveway. Someone came within the hour and got my car out. Turns out the spring was broken and they came the next day to measure and weight the door. I also got a quote for installing a motor on another door and they super reasonably

I would give these guys 10 STARS if I could. Derek went above and beyond to help me get my issue fixed. These guys are top notch! I won’t hesitate to use them again and ONLY them. They are located in an old church which is appropriate because Derek was truly god sent with the patience of a saint.
Derek FaceTimed with me and stayed at work at least an hour past their closing time to make sure the job was done right. I really can’t say enough about this man’s work ethic. The work included installing a LiftMaster Bridge with MyQ capability to my garage door so I can open and close it remotely

We were having difficulty with our garage door opener we’d had for over 15 years. We called late Thursday afternoon, and Dereck was very helpful in giving us our likely options and scheduled his workers to come the next afternoon. Jose and Luis showed up on time, assessed the problem, showed us the damaged parts, and installed a new opener within an hour and a half. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and the price was fair. I’d recommend this company without reservation.

Lift Gate recommended Tilt a Door to me. I won't bore you with my previous experiences with 3 "reputable" gate repair companies and what they said or did. Tilt a door called back, were honest about when they could come out, and actually showed up! Knew exactly what the problem was fixed it and our gate works perfectly again! Pleasant, friendly and honest. Definitely having them come out for yearly service on our gate and garage door. Thank you Tilt a Door.

I was having trouble with 2 remotes I had bought and the owner offered to have his service man Jim ' Okie' Olkereiil come over to see what he could do. The remotes should have worked. Apparently I needed to call the HOA's repairman.
Jim was very kind and generous with his time. Jim was there taking the unit apart and it felt like 110 outside.
The ladies in the office were extremely cordial and will definitely recommend Tilt A Door!

I had a gate opener installed in my home this week and the experience was great. Jim the owner is an honest down to earth guy. His crew were in time and friendly and the work is top notch.
I read the previous review and can assure you the previous reviewer must be a competitor because in the San Marino and Pasadena area Tilt A Door is an institution.
