For over a half-a-century Huish's has been sewing on canvas. It all started when Bert Huish, of Provo, saw the opportunity that canvas presented to manufacture attractive and durable awnings, patio covers, banners, tarps, tents, boat covers, truck covers, and other industrial sewing applications.
When he opened his first store in 1936, he never dreamed that he would be starting a tradition in his family that would span four generations and provide employment for many people.Bert's son John was a valuable asset to the business. In 1945, Bert moved the store to 1767 South State Street in Orem, Utah, where it continues to operate.

We needed quality canvas blinds for our new pergola and we’re having trouble finding a source, then stopped by Huish, they had just the fabrics and design we were looking for! Mac and Julie and the staff were more than helpful. We installed the blinds ourselves with only a minor question which Mac answered quickly for us. Customer Service and product quality are amazing!! Julie saved the day helping up choose quality furniture for our outdoor space. IPE wood and some metal chairs with cushions, all look wonderful! We are so pleased to find Huish. And would recommend them to anyone needing outdoor

Working with Huish was wonderful. Mac came to our home several times to measure and check with us about the products we were purchasing. When we went into the showroom, he spent a lot of time helping us determine the shades and coloring that would look good. When it came time for installation, the crew was on time and got right to work. They were courteous and professional. Mac called to let me know a few of them were in training, but would be accompanied by others who were very experienced. I appreciated his openness. We've been working with Huish's for many years from tents for our wedding 23 years ago to a newly attached awning on our backyard patio. They always deliver when they say they will and have been a pleasure to work with at each step, including going to bat for us with the city (which is no small feat). We highly recommend working with Huish's!

I own a restaurant in Orem and needed my seats repaired, the vinyl cushion backs. I called and Mac came and talked to me and measure and start a bid. They told me it would be about 7 weeks with how busy they were and how crazy and hard it is right now to get supplies because of Covid. After placing my order and a deposit, they were dang near perfect with timing. They came and installed and everything looks perfect. Great family business. Honest guys. Great guys to work with. The owners and employees were awesome!!! Thanks Huish's, you've earned my business for life!!!!

Would not use Huish if you want your project done. They want you to give them 50% down to get you on the schedule. And Mac told me it would be about 4 week and that there was 7 jobs ahead of mine. I had to contact them at week 6 and they tell me that will be another 6 weeks and there are 7 jobs a head of me. Very dissatisfied if you are to busy to do my job just tell me up front and do not waste my time.
