Rolling Green Nursery is a nine-acre grower/retailer garden center committed to raising healthy and vigorous plant material for your projects, and providing premier horticultural advice throughout southern New Hampshire. Our goal is to grow healthy plants, always provide accurate information and outstanding customer service, and share a place that inspires gardeners.
Established in 1976, Rolling Green Nursery is a family-owned business located just 5 miles from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Our plant nursery, greenhouses, and garden store stretch across 9 beautiful acres in a park-like setting. We sell and grow a wide selection of plant material, including annuals, herbs, veg, fruits perennials, trees, and shrubs.
Fall is a great time to plant because soil temperatures are warm, rain is more plentiful, and sunlight is bright but not scorching. So if you have been eyeballing certain plants, now is a great time to install them. This will also give them a nice amount of time to put some roots down and acclimate before winter arrives.
Given that people spend more than 90% of their time indoors, air quality matters. Not only do houseplants boost your mood and purify the air - they're just plain beautiful. Visit us in Greenland, N.H. to see our wide selection of new, trendy, classic or easy-care plants. Bring in a clean pot from home or purchase a new one in our Garden Store.
Using native plants of New England in your Seacoast garden is beneficial for so many reasons. Namely, they provide vital habitat for regional wildlife and ecosystems, and are evolved to survive in our region's specific climate with far fewer maintenance needs, such as watering and insect control. And in addition to that, they're beautiful.

I stopped in to buy some large indoor plants for the lobby of an office building. These folks were AMAZING! They helped me select the right plants for the space and they bent over backwards to help me figure out how to transport a huge fiddleleaf fig to the office. I wouldn't even consider going elsewhere for future projects - this place is the best!

We had a very positive experience with Rolling Green Nursery. The selection is impressive and the prices fair. We had 6 trees planted yesterday and it could not have gone more smoothly. Chris was the… subcontractor who planted the trees singlehandedly and he did a wonderful job. He is a really hard worker, and planted them perfectly and meticulously. Thank you, Chris! We would highly recommend Rolling Green Nursery.

We were headed to another nearby nursery that is gone now, so ended up here. They have a huge selection and some prices are good, while I thought some others were very high. Seems to be plenty of help around the place to ask questions if you need to also. Very helpful with checking out the plants, writing it up on a ticket and you pay inside. Definitely worth taking a look.
