The Lakeside Theatre Company is a new and exciting professional theatre in the Great Lakes Region. It has been established by Mary F. Aufman and Mary T. Boyer; two theatre professionals with decades of theatre experience between them. Their desire is to introduce many forgotten and inspiring plays to audiences who may be unfamiliar with them and their historical importance in the canon of American theatre history.
A native of Toledo, Mary graduated from the University of Detroit with a B.A. in 1972, and immediately moved to New York City to pursue work in the entertainment industry. Mary is the owner and artistic director of MTB Studio in Manhattan, one of the foremost acting studios in that city. Mary has students on Broadway, in film, and on TV.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh by her endlessly supportive parents, Mary spent all 4 of her high school years studying at the Pittsburgh Playhouse followed by a B.A. from the Theater Department at the University of Detroit.

After graduate work at the Catholic University of America in Washington DC, Mary continued working in local DC theater until the big move to NYC where she resided for 43 years working in theater, film, TV, print and voice overs ranging from 'All My Children', 'Bedford Diaries' to CVS Pharmacy to Pharmaceuticals to Independent films.
Kevin is a life long resident of Toledo. He wrote his first play as a cub scout; it was ravaged by the critics (the Boy Scouts). He refused to be cowed by the experience and has written on and off throughout the years. He worked for over 30 years at a local TV station including for a time writing, producing and delivering his own humorous editorials known as "Boyer's I View" on the issues and events of the day.
The Lakeside Theatre Company is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit professional theatre operating under various small professional theatre agreements with the Actors' Equity Association. As such, we need your support to soar! Contributions for the charitable purposes of The Lakeside Theatre Company are tax- deductible to the extent permitted by law.
