Rock Martin started his jewelry career in high school. He took one course in custom jewelry design and was hooked. After serving his country in the Navy, Rock and his family settled in the beautiful village of Laguna Beach. Long known as an arts colony, Laguna Beach was a thriving environment for artists such as Rock.
Starting out doing Laguna Craft Guild shows, Rock quickly discovered his unique custom designed jewelry pieces were selling out at every show. In 1968, Rock's custom jewelry designs were accepted into the famous Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival. Many artists and Laguna Beach, California jewelers start by exhibiting at shows, and continue in the same tradition, but Rock Martin knew his custom designed jewelry needed a larger venue.

I’ve know Michael for 30 years and although I may be biased he has come thru for my family and I numerous times over those years. The topper was when I was working in New York and going on a trip to Europe with my gf. Within a week before we were to leave I thought Greece would be a great place to propose as I’ve always wanted to. I got a hold of Michael because I know I could trust him instead of walking into a NY jeweler and told him what I was looking for in an engagement ring and what I could afford. Husband and I were on a mission to find a perfect wedding ring after 23 years of marriage. My original set was plain worn out. We looked too much and I was actually tired of looking! Diamond quality was what we both wanted. We ended up driving to Laguna Beach one fall day in 2000 just to get away. NO intention of looking for rings. And then we walked by Rock Martin Jewelry. The absolute perfect ring was in the window! Rock himself was working and with some changes, he decided to make an entirely new ring. OK, I'm not usually impressed by Jewelry stores as most of the usual brand jewelry generic stores bore me...but Rock Martin has introduced me to the 'love' of jewelry. Now I know where to go when it's time for a 'forever' purchase for my lovely wife. Plus I am extremely happy with my recent replacement of a wedding ring I recently acquired here, I really mean this. The customer service is TOP NOTCH and their branding is unique and amazing.
