I hope you will find some answers here to questions about counseling. More importantly, I hope you can get an idea of who I am and if I might be someone you would like seeing in therapy. There is a lot of research which indicates that your relationship with, and impression of your therapist is one of the most important elements of successful therapy.

I am a psychologist licensed in Michigan. I have been in private practice since 1991 and before that I worked at the Counseling Center at Michigan State University. While maintaining my private practice, I was an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University from 1999 until 2009, in the Counselor Education Masters Program.
Services
My graduate training in psychology was at the University of Illinois, in Champaign, Illinois, where I received my doctorate. Before that I attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, earning a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling. My pre-doctoral internship was at the Counseling Center at Michigan State University.
Before your first appointment with a psychotherapist, there are some things you should know and some things you should do. These will increase the chances that the person you end up seeing is the right person for you, and that there will not be any unforeseen problems in dealing with your insurance company.

My experience with Dr Rogell was life changing to say the least. If it had not been for going to therapy (EMDR) with him I would not be where I am today. I have been blessed to have you cross my path for I am a better person for it. You helped me out of the darkness and into the light.
