We are now offering holiday pay! For every hour that you work and are scheduled to work on specific holidays, you get $2 extra per hour! This is for hours worked on the holiday, not holiday pay for no work hours. So for example a caregiver with a $17 base wage who gets paid for 4 hours on Thanksgiving will get $19 per hour for those 4 hours.
We'll check to see if you're eligible to apply - then Medicaid and your health plan will determine your final eligibility. FreedomCare is the leading provider of CDPAP, a Medicaid-funded program that allows New Yorkers to hire their own caregivers: a daughter, son, relative, friend or previously hired aide.

It's our job to restore peace of mind to those who need it most. Our success is measured by the life-changing stories we hear from our patients and their caregivers. By inspiring every employee to treat each customer with warmth and respect, we earn the trust of the people we serve - becoming the most systematized, reliable, genuine, compassionate, and professional CDPAP provider in New York State.
With CDPAP by FreedomCare, you can get exceptional care from someone you love - while giving them reliable pay for their time. What's more, aide turnover (when your aide leaves, and you get a new one) is linked to: lower quality care and negative health outcomes. California's Medicaid Personal Care Assistants: Characteristics of Family and Non-Family Caregivers.
A nurse will visit you at home to determine if you're eligible for the CDPAP program and how many weekly hours of care you can get. The app was awful. Clocking in and out with photo verification rarely worked. Then I was told to use their phone clock in/out service. Guess what, that rarely worked as well (the instructions are super simple, no way of messing it up) but no way of knowing the punches didnt register until pay day came around and you realized you weren't getting paid. So, 3-4 weeks of waiting on pay. I was "assigned a coordinator" (Chantelle) who was impossible to get a hold of. Never responded to texts, phonecalls, and rarely emails. Yet she was the one who had to approve my timecard? Even though when I was transferred

I started with freedom care in August taking care of my mother n law who is a cancer survivor and legally blind. The process was a bit longer than I expected but when it was all complete , all went well without issues.
The staff are super friendly and very helpful going thru every step so you will understand how things work. I am grateful to be able to help make my mother in-laws golden years wonderful and stress less.

FreedomCare is amazingly amazing! Given the opportunity to care care for your loved one or a dear friend. My coordinator is pleasantly pleasant at all times as well as the whole FreedomCare with the accessibility of meeting all your needs.
Thank you FreedomCare for the opportunity to care for my mom with the hopes of getting her back to %100 and her being able to be comfortable. We couldn’t have done without the help of you guys💐

The staff is helpful. Paychecks are always on time. However the entire sign up process is burdensome and time consuming. To get enrolled it takes up to 5 people, each with a different function, and it appears they do not share information as multiple requests are received to send various ID documents that were already sent. The sign in sign out process is annoying as it requires a picture each and every time. GPS tracking is not enough. To submit a time sheet a picture of the patient is needed. This means shoving a camera in front of their face at sometimes not so convenient times. The whole concept
