As I wrap up this year's wedding edits and albums, it's time to give voice to a secret I've been keeping for the last 12 months. In 2019 my family and I made the decision that 2020 would be my last year photographing weddings. We wanted to make room for family, hobbies, new endeavors, and living a slower life in general.
You know, to take time to stop and smell the roses. I planted some of those this year. We are a boutique photography company. We answer the phone at all odd hours, email entirely too much, and we-heart-text-messages. Since 2001 we've been striving to keep relationships personal, ideas fresh, and products timeless.

I am very proud of my "tacky fridge magnet collection, " which includes magnets from all over this planet. 2. I order my martinis "super extra dirty, like {name of a certain blonde lady grunge rocker from the 90's}." 3. My favorite part about lunch is the pickle that comes with the sandwich, and I'm addicted to Tim's Cascade Jalapeno Chips and can't stop until the entire bag is empty.
We are inspired by our clients: their excitement, their style, but mostly their adoration of each other. The little glances, soft whispers, and inside jokes; these are the memories behind the images. We've got a passion for creating rockin' portraits, always adventurous and never a snooze, while exploring our surroundings to make incredible and fresh images.
True story, friend. The thing is, there are only a handful that will be a good fit for you, depending on personality, photographic style, budget, and experience. Here's the short of it: We are nice to your friends and family. We are fun to be around. We are honest. We are great at what we do. We have been doing this for a LONG time, FULL-time (since 2001, yo!).
We are excited to tell you about our volunteer-run, non-profit organization, Get Hitched, Give Hope, where brides & grooms got gorgeous goods & services for their wedding by giving back! As a co-founder, Laurel has held a board position and was the VP of Marketing for most of the organization's run.
A collection of our favorite and most inspiring wedding venues in the Pacific Northwest. We're excited to share albums with you from farm weddings to warehouse weddings, winery weddings to ballrooms. Our favorite wedding venues from Seattle to Eastern Washington, they are sure to delight your guests and be a wonderful setting for your nuptials!

When we were looking for a wedding photographer, we were looking for someone who could take pictures that we felt really reflected who we were while also being beautiful without over-editing. We found that photographer in Laurel. We loved her portfolio and from our first meeting we got along well with her. Everything went very smoothly and on-time on the day of our wedding, and we were thrilled with the results. We ended up getting our photos less than five weeks after the wedding, which was pretty awesome! Overall, we would definitely recommend Laurel as a photographer.

Laurel photographed our engagement last year, and our wedding this July, and she did an absolutely wonderful job with both. She did a great job of adapting to each situation-- she was incredibly fun to adventure with to our engagement shoot, she did a great job of keeping us on schedule during the family photos, and then she blended into the background during the reception so we could focus on our guests. She's also friendly and fun to work with-- we had a ton of fun with her throughout the planning process.

We've worked with Laurel for going on almost 10 years and I cannot put into words how amazing she is. She truly has been along our journey from newlyweds, to parents, to destination weddings, and family photo sessions.
To say the least, we have a logged a lot of time with Laurel and have learned her style and techniques over the years. She continues to out perform herself and we always look forward to see her work.
If you are looking for a true artist to capture your moments - please book Laurel, you won't regret it.

Laurel is a fantastic photographer and all-around awesome human being. We're so happy we chose her for our engagement and wedding photos. She strikes the perfect balance of fun, quirkiness, professionalism, kindness, and efficiency. She rallies groups with ease. She creates a comfortable atmosphere in your most intimate moments. And she makes planning a breeze. Fun fact, she even hiked down to the beach at Discovery Park in a foot cast/boot to take our engagement photos... that's commitment to a job well done! :)

Before even meeting Laurel, I knew she was special. I pored over a dozen Seattle photographer websites and I found something very strange -- many other photographers' photos all looked the same. Different wedding, different people, and different themes: so how come all the photos look the same?
What do Laurel's photos from different weddings have in common? The people in them are truly captured and they're usually having a blast!
The entire process of working with Laurel was awesome. She is fun-loving, extremely skilled, and knows how to direct and talk to subjects who haven't had their photos
