Shew Design helps organizations communicate using a combination of strategic planning, graphic design, branding, and website design. More than just a logo and tagline, your brand is how people see your company. It's what they think of when they see an advertisement or logo, hear the company's name, view your website, or hold your product in their hands.
All of the creative work on your branding will use designs, concepts, and messages that approximate how they will look in their final form. Cohesiveness will be built into into your project from the outset. Your branding will be documented and the logo and other assets will be saved in a variety of color formats (rgb, cmyk, pantone spot) to make it easy for you to use for years to come.
In its barest essentials, we collaborate about what your brand or logo is intended to do, and then build a variety of choices that show how it accomplishes its job in a format approximating its final version. You will evaluate the work as your audience will. A logo is an image that is understood to represent your company.
Eric enters projects from a writer's perspective, approaching design as a fusion of visual and verbal thinking. He is a restless thinker, and he wants every project to be as unique as the client and based on their needs and audience. At Shew Design, Eric handles most copywriting, illustration, and programing tasks and collaborates with Becca on design tasks.
Our space was conceived to foster ongoing conversations about creativity and communications. It emerges from our belief that quality work is grounded in quality relationships. Our space reflects our passionate belief in the power of partnership, transparency, exploration, learning, and growth. It reflects that for us, design is less a job and more of a lifelong process.

I worked with Shew Design on a fast-moving project with a lot of externally-mandated parameters, and Shew Design was wonderful! Our $24 million/year multi-service nonprofit has a lot of considerations and voices to factor in to all web design projects, and Becca and Eric listened and responded well. They kept our users at the center of the conversation and provided excellent customer service as they implemented a production plan that followed an aggressive timeline. We were looking for a logo that reflected our new brand: Bold and modern while still anachronistic. Not everyone "gets" it, but Shew Design understood and produced a stunning design. We couldn’t be more pleased with the result, so we asked Shew Design to design a full corporate identity package for us: Name tags, business cards, envelope design, letterhead, and a newsletter template. Again an incredible job. I think the result speaks for itself!
