Born in NYC and based in Louisville, KY, Looking for Lilith is an ensemble theatre company that creates productions and programming through re-examining history and questioning today from women's perspectives. Looking for Lilith is committed to showing the value of multiple perspectives on history and today.
Services
Between 1776 and 1887, the United States seized over 1.5 billion acres from America's indigenous people by treaty and executive order. Looking for Lilith would like to acknowledge the traditional Native lands on which we gather. We respect and honor with gratitude the land itself and the many diverse Indigenous peoples who have stewarded it throughout the generations.
Join us for a performance-based party in the open-air to celebrate our 20th Anniversary! LFL's diverse 19-member ensemble will perform readings of excerpts from our "greatest hits" of the last two decades at this festive event. Audiences will hear from our founders, our newest ensemble members, and everyone in between!
As necessity has been the mother of invention again and again throughout the pandemic, LFL re-invented their plan for recognizing this monumental milestone, and we will come together to celebrate on the same date, but now in the open-air space of Old Louisville's Central Park. It has become quite clear that it is not yet safe to return to indoor performance in a small black box theater at this moment in time.
Journey through the streets of our hometown to meet the dedicated Louisville Suffragists who tirelessly fought for their right to vote. From Bardstown to Broadway: The Suffrage Driving & Walking Tour, is part of The Kentucky Suffrage Project, an ongoing exploration and celebration of the 19th Amendment, with Looking for Lilith Theatre Company (LFL).
Looking for Lilith Theatre Company's first ever full-length virtual play will be the world premiere of Good Grief (a stage play, with music) by local playwright, composer and musician Erin Fitzgerald. Good Grief is about an irreverent and unconventional grief support group.

After countless disappointments in traditional group settings, a small non-traditional grief support group has emerged - offering a space for people to explore and express grief in their own ways.But when a new member shows up, the group is tested in unforeseen directions, causing everyone to re-examine their own parameters of grief, and of support.
