While some students at our Academy aspire to become professionals, many are here for the fun, challenge, and reward that come as a result of ballet training. All students of North Ballet Academy, whether with professional or recreational goals, will receive expert and professional training in Classical Ballet, based on an eight level Vaganova syllabus created and personalized for the goals of the training program offered at North Ballet Academy.

With a team of exceptional and expert staff, North Ballet Academy offers classical ballet instruction for novice, intermediate, advanced, and adult dancers. Aimed at both the recreational dancer and the aspiring professional, North Ballet Academy provides Russian Ballet Instruction (Vaganova Syllabus) to foster the development of the art of ballet and encourage proficiency in ballet performance and choreography.

North Ballet Academy provides a unique, high quality educational experience that is different than anything else you will find in Minnesota. We provide instruction and experiences inside the studio and on the stage that extend far into the lives of our students outside the walls of the Academy. The instructors push you in a positive, encouraging and helpful way so you can achieve your goals.
I am a dancer, and in the past I believe that I have suffered from shin splints due to the flooring that I was dancing on. What type of flooring is used at North Ballet Academy? North Ballet currently has Sprung Floors in all three studios. These were chosen in order to provide students with the safest dancing surface, providing not only energy absorption, but also friction to avoid slipping.
Students at North Ballet start their training at various ages and abilities. For some, they started when they were as young as 3 years old, others found ballet during their teen years. Thus our classes often have a mix of student ages! The guidelines for initial placement are listed below, but our principle here is that while placement usually depends on age, advancement is based on ability!

I have had the privilege of taking my nieces and nephew to North Ballet for four years now. The children have learnt so much from the instructors. The classes help children form strong student friendships and a love for dance. The class structure is very formal, allowing clear boundaries and recognition of what needs to be focused on. LOVE LOVE LOVE... ( we drive 30 min to be able to give our children this opportunity ITS THAT GOOD)...

Enrolling our daughter at North Ballet Academy may very well be one of the best decisions we've made for her so far. The staff is professional and trustworthy. The instructors are firm yet fair, and they put on the most tasteful and entertaining recitals of any youth dance center in the area.
Our daughter has learned discipline and that hard work pays off. On top of that she's learned an appreciation for classical music.

I loved it there, very Professional, and fun. I wanted to go another year, but my sister did not so my mother said no. Everyone was very nice, and polite, worth it all. My name is Clarice Stanley. At one point I just wanted to hang out with my friends, but I'm happy I didn't. I loved learning ballet, great experience! I wish I could keep doing it, I miss it so much! I loved doing the dance too, SOO much fun!! I loved the teacher, Ms.Dvorak (sorry if misspell, haven't been their in a year 🙃😉) I loved it though😊 I miss it 😞.

Fantastic ballet studio. We shopped around several dance schools for our daughter, and initially started her at a different studio in the area for her first year of dancing, before we found North Ballet Academy. Now she’s in the middle of her 4th year there, and it’s her favorite place to be. The owners and staff are all super professional, helpful, and kind. Not only do the kids have fun there, they also produce really talented dancers.

Very professional yet family friendly. I've never been in a ballet school where the students are treated so well, always with heart.
