It's advertised as mexican/ spanish food but that couldnt be farther from the truth. the soft tacos tortillas were served COLD - meaning that they kept breaking whenever we tried to pick one up to eat, the sope was too crunchy and rough to cut without putting in so much force, the way the food was seasoned did not taste like mexican food. the only good things were the french fries and the guacamole. everything else disappointed us. super small bathrooms too.

WE LOVED THIS PLACE! Plenty of room to feel COVID safe and Dallas our server was excellent. She was helpful when it came to selection advice, friendly, attentive but not too much so. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. Started off with chips and salsa flight with a carafe of spicy margaritas. Then went on to shareable plates: Oaxacan Street Pizza, Loco Shrimp, and Chorizo Mac and Cheese - all delicious. Then on to our main entrees: both seafood and meat paella's. So much flavor and plenty to bring home. We will be back!

Food was great! Waitress was nice but the kitchen was very slow. Only one other table and all of our meals came out at completely different times. I could have finished my food before my dad got his if I wanted too. I’ll definitely be back, the food was absolutely worth it so I’m just hoping the kitchen will time the food out better next time.

Went for an early dinner. Happy hour specials were great and an unexpected treat. Cocktails were delicious and made well. Service was great. The food was delicious, you can definitely try something new and authentic but the menu also has standby dishes for people who are not too adventurous.

We tried the igloos and it was a great experience! Our waitress Jaime was super friendly and helpful. The kids LOVED the igloo- they picked music to play on the supplied Bluetooth speaker and had fun changing the color of the lights. The food was plentiful and delicious, but almost too much for our family of 4. It was also a bit oil-heavy, but not in a bad way. Would recommend coming VERY hungry. My favorite was their tortillas- love the flavor.

I met an old dear friend there. The food was good and the drink was superb! I will be back for dinner; I had a "bar bite!"
This place is unique in a very positive way! I'll be back soon!

A few friends and I reserved an igloo for dinner and this was such an amazing experience! You start out with a carafe of their margarita, chips and their dips and then the food just keeps on coming. I promise you, you will not leave hungry! If you don't reserve an igloo, you must at least try the paella. I had never tried paella before and their's is outstanding! The rice is cooked to perfection and mixed right at the table. I will definitely be back here!

Some foodie friends and I visited toro loco for all our first times and got to experience the chef tasting menu created for us in the outdoor igloo! Very warm with heaters for these December nights and a cool experience.

5 courses = dips, apps, tacos, paella, and dessert

Loved that we got to try a little bit of everything. My favorites were: the empanadas, patatas bravas, and paella.

I wanted to like this place so much more. My honest review would probably be 3 and a half stars but our waiter was so nice and informative I bumped it up to 4. Everyone is decent but not anything special sadly. I liked the fried chicken taco, empanadas and the churros but the chocolate sauce had an odd flavor that was only liked by half the group. LOVED that it is a gluten free kitchen as my mom has celiac and it was nice to order whatever we wanted without worry... will be back for her

Patatas bravos
chips and guac
mushroom and goat cheese tacos

Unfortunately did not enjoy the food here as much as I would've liked to. The taco was super oily?? And pretty much everything we tried was salty! Guac was good but the only saving grace! Atleast the ambience inside was nice and apparently they have an outdoor space overlooking the pond!

UPDATE: for my second time at Toro Loco, we got the igloo four course meal and it was an incredible experience! The chef whipped up dish after dish for our group. This is a must-do event! We were informed later that there is an indoor version of this too, called a chef tasting. The igloo one that we did was $60 per person, 4-6 people required, and comes with way more food than anyone is capable of eating, as well as a pitcher of margaritas for the table. So so worth the price! They call it a four course meal but it's really more like 20 courses! The food just kept coming! And all of it was

Very scenic Mexican tapas spot.

The place overlooks a pond and has both indoor and outdoor seating, however the view is much better from outside. They have a TON of seating outside.

I came for lunch with my dad. Apparently lunch is the only time that they have dishes that are full entrees. We got chips and guac to start and it was delicious. We also both got 2 tacos, and we were less impressed. The tortillas the place uses are pretty terrible in both taste and durability. The taco fillings were also pretty sub-par. My dad's barbacoa taco was extremely spicy, and my chicken taco was not

We were in town for a wedding and stopped here because the kitchen is 100% gluten free and I have celiac disease. It was delicious and so nice to eat out without worrying about getting sick! The tacos are amazing 🙌🏼 Our waitress was also super nice and did a great job. We got to sit outside and enjoy the nice view!

Tony and his crew just catered a family reunion for us and it was AMAZING!!
Not your typical bbq fare at all. The presentation was beautiful, colorful, fun and inviting. We started out with a homemade chips and salsa bar- which in and of itself was a meal. But then moved on to an incredible taco bar, papusas, and to die for paellas- one with roasted veggies and a seafood one. Did I mention the roasted lamb on a spit?
If you want a fun, delicious event- book them! Or just go to their restaurant in Farmington, CT.
But, go hungry!!
Thank you Tony and crew! We’ll be talking about this for a long

Love the ambiance. Service was very good. Music and the outdoor seatings are very nice. Bar menu is awesome, there's a drink for everyone. Took one star off because in my opinion, all dishes we ordered were well-seasoned but very salty. Way too salty to my liking. I would still come back for drinks though.

Toro loco is mostly tapas with some tacos. Menu is pretty robust for this. Personally, was not a fan of most of the flavor combos, but some were good. The salad was great, the pork was tasty but very rich. The meatballs were out of left field. Overall not bad.

José, the manager and Alex, our server were phenomenal!!! It was our first time there! Alex made recommendations based off our comments, and they were spot on (she even made a recommendation based off her experience with a drink that was a small change and it was wonderful!!).
Everything we ate was delicious, and for someone who has to eat gluten free, the WHOLE menu ( except a few beers) was gluten free. It was amazing. Thank you to the whole staff, but especially Alex and José for their wonderful service!

Let there be TAPAS!!

An impromptu meeting with another foodie friend of ours resulted in 2 trips to Farmington. Toro Loco may have been the shining star of the two.

Seated in a dim area off the bar, we had the pleasure of a comfy booth and even better, was our server Sofia the Leo!!

Sofia did her thing and assisted us with navigating the menu along with circling her favorites. She did. Not. Disappoint.

Besides her stimulating conversation, we were blown away by the food!

The mango pineapple chili was refreshing AF!
The pork belly literally made us want to kidnap the chef!

We had an amazing experience at Toro Loco! Every single item was fresh. Really. Like handpickedsomehoursago fresh. You can especially tell by the mangoes, their mango salsa was made with perfectly ripe fresh mangoes. Small tapas style servings allowed us to try out quite a few things. Our server Dani was lovely, attentive and very accommodating of our dietary preferences. I have to admit that we were frustrated with the long wait.
Some people have mentioned the lack of authentic or at least new decor. I agree with that. But the quality of food more than makes up for it. I’d choose authentic
