The Community Health Center in Wakita serves north-central Oklahoma and beyond, and has long embraced the spirit of culture change. It's about building relationships between residents and caregivers in a home like atmosphere. The Wakita Community Health Center was built in partnership with the OU Medical School Rural Health Project.

When residents are admitted to CHC, they and their family members become part of the CHC family.
Services
The Wakita CHC was built in partnership with the OU Medical School as a model rural health project. It was featured in TIME magazine when it opened its doors in 1968. The CHC is served weekly and on demand by specialists from St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and Integris Bass Baptist hospitals in nearby Enid, Oklahoma.

This is a great Family orientated Nursing home. The residents come first and the staff really cares about the care they give. It is a place like no other. I would recommend it as a place to take your loved one and work. One of the best!

The Wakita Community Health Center cared for my mother during the last two years of her life. The staff was caring, conscientious and professional. The facility is modern, clean, pleasant and well maintained with a number of new pieces of equipment (door security, walk in jacuzzi, big screen TV, etc.). The number of amenities and services is outstanding for a rural health care facility including access to specialists from the Enid health care community. The CHC encourages year long family participation in holidays and special events -- there are family members and young children in there all the
