Rich Machado brings over 30 years of automotive experience and an enthusiasm for cars and anything mechanical. In high school, he started working at a local shop owned by his neighbor, Kelvin Kruger (The KAR Shop, Fremont, CA). From there he honed his skills and continued to learn. Over the next decade, he became an ASE Certified Master Technician.

Get To Machado's, And Get There Quickly! ! !
Literally, we were referred to Rich's due to a fuel pump accident. Rich's replacement of the fuel pump was prompt, clean, and flawless. Even his entire operation is clean & expedient. This all was important to me because I am very meticulous about Marcia's car.
Here recently, when it came to repairs of the radiator and to the power-steering system. There are 3 factors that caused me to determine that I Am/We Are indefinite clients. 1) Value- the price paid was less than the initial quoted price. 2) Professionalism- he even answers the phone in a professional

Professional work without compromise. The AC went out on my 2007 Honda Odyssey van. They were able to work me in without an appointment then call me with the diagnosis and plan of repair later in the day.
The AC compressor clutch had gone out. They will not repair the clutch alone one a car with my mileage (140,000) since it is likely that the compressor led to the failure and would probably have to be changed after the clutch was changed and run.
They will not replace a compressor without also changing out several other parts that might have gotten damaged from the failing compressor, eg condenser

Outstanding customer service! Rich listens and cares. He's my go to mechanic for any repair. He's methodical and pays attention to detail. If you are unsure about what kind of repair your vehicle might need, go to Rich. He's honest and will diagnose the issue and provide a solution. His prices are fair and comparable to other shops BUT you do not get the same knowledge, care and honesty anywhere else, period!

My biggest concern, when looking for a good mechanic is trustworthiness. Back in the day, I could maintain my car myself. Now, I open the hood and all I can do is scratch my head. I've looked long and hard for someone I could trust. At Mechado's, my search is at an end. These guys are the best! They operate with the highest level of integrity, and I know what they tell me is the absolute truth.
