The Ombudsman program provides advocacy to residents of long-term care facilities based on laws, regulations, and procedures. Monitors Development and Implementation of Laws, Regulations, and Policies affecting Long-Term Care Facilities. Protecting the rights of assisted living and nursing home residents is the responsibility of the Ombudsman.

The Family Caregiver Support Program is designed to support family members who are caring for adults 60 years of age or older. These services provide counseling to caregivers to assist in decision-making and problem-solving related to the caregiver role.
