I am a Licensed Psychologist with a private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. I specialize in adult psychotherapy and the treatment of trauma, eating disorders, depression/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, relationship and family-of-origin issues, abuse and related issues.

I have been active in the fields of psychology and mental health for over 20 years, obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Missouri State University, and my Master's and Doctoral degrees in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University.I received advanced specialty training in eating disorders during my APA-accredited internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the university counseling center at Arizona State University.
After all, sitting down with a complete stranger (even if it is a psychologist) to discuss your deepest fears and darkest secrets feels pretty overwhelming. The last thing you want is to step into yet another generic doctor's office. I get it, so I've taken care of that. From the waiting area to the my therapy office, I've created comfortable spaces that are inviting, calming, and promote your healing.
Everyone feels anxious from time to time. However, if you feel that your anxiety is interfering with your job, your relationships or your daily life in general, it might be time to seek professional anxiety treatment from a counselor. You are not alone - anxiety disorders are the most common type of mental health disorder and are highly treatable.
The Daring Way is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Bren Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process facilitators explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness.
Watching a friend or loved one struggle with an eating disorder can be extremely painful. And if you're suffering from an eating disorder yourself, you're no doubt feeling the physical and emotional toll. Because of its powerful pull, an eating disorder can be difficult to overcome on your own. And as time goes on, an eating disorder eventually dominates your life.

For years I struggled with balancing my emotions, recovering from/processing traumatic incidents throughout my life, and connecting with my peers.
