Garden State Federal Credit Union was founded in 1960 as The Camden District Telephone Federal Credit Union. We later changed our name to reflect our expanded membership. Today we serve over 4,400 members from 37 Member Groups and 9 select cities and towns. We currently have a branch located in Moorestown, New Jersey.
The New Jersey cities and towns we also serve include: Audubon Park, City of Camden, Collingswood, Gloucester City, Haddon (Haddon Twp), Mount Ephraim, Palmyra, Pennsauken, and Woodlynne. Our Member Groups include companies and organizations who provide Garden State membership as a no cost employee or member benefit.

Your credit union is a member of the CO-OP Shared Branch network. It includes hundreds of credit unions that make it easy for you to access your Garden State accounts and conduct financial transactions nationwide. At participating credit unions, you can use many of the same services you do at Garden State.
A. A credit union provides financial accounts and services that are similar to other types of financial institutions, but instead of being profit driven, they are not-for-profit financial cooperatives. Credit union earnings, after expenses, are returned to its members in the form of lower interest loans, higher yield savings and investment accounts, no or low fee money management services and outstanding personal service.
Simply open a Garden State Primary Savings Account and deposit and maintain a balance of $5.00 or more. When you become a member, you are immediately eligible for the many money saving credit union loans, accounts and money management services. If you are an employee of one of our Member Groups or live, work, worship or attend school in one of the 9 communities we serve, you are eligible for credit union membership.
To become a member, you are required to open a Primary Savings Account with a minimum deposit of $5.00 or more. This is your "share" in the ownership of the Credit Union - and why savings are called "shares." You can also open Club Accounts or additional savings accounts for taxes or other purposes.
